What do the CLAMS/REMS team do?
/ Oversee entry of results across 174 teaching sections at Sydney Institute
/ Support 4500 CLAMS users/ Train staff in the use of CLAMS/REMS/ Compile information NCVER Audit of results

Helpful Hints – Marks Entry/ Action invalid students/ When entering results and attendance –
SAVE OFTEN/ Try not to have more than one CLAMS
screen open at a time/ Integrated rollbooks should have a delivery
schedule

Stressless Marks Entry/ When entering results teachers should be
aware of the protocols that should be followed especially where students:/ Have limited attendance recorded/ No attendance recorded/ Students are failing assessments and have limited attendance

WN, NS, DR, MY can cause confusion and are sometimes misused.
Problems can arise with integrated rollbooks

WN – Withdrawn No Penalty/ WN should be recorded when:
/ Student commenced but did not complete module
/ There is evidence of participation eg: 1.Attendance entered2.Work submitted by student 3.Result for assessment entered4.Communication between teacher and student to prove student
commenced study in module

NS- No Start/ NS should only be recorded when:
/ There is no attendance recorded/ There is no evidence of participation/ There is no evidence of communication between student and teacher
/ No record of work submitted / No assessment results recorded

DR – Deferred Result/ DR should only be used in exceptional
circumstances when:/ Assessment requirements are not met and there is an acceptable reason eg: student illness
/ Note: DR’s must be finalised within the first weeks of the following semester/ If the assessment can not be finalised a result based on evidence must be recorded

MY – Multi Year Enrolment/ MY should only be used when the institute
has indicated that delivery will be over more than one calendar year.
/ Example:/ Student enrols full year and unit will not complete until
semester 1 the following year
/ Student enrols in semester 2 – but will re-enrol into the same unit in semester 1 following year
