Space-saving drywall constructionThe Geberit Duofix installation system requires no rear fastening to the building structure for room-height prewalls. This allows for great design freedom, for instance in the placement of sanitary installations in bathrooms located op-posite each other. The very low thickness required for partition walls provides for valuable space gains in comparison to conventional drywall construction.

Sophisticated telescopic technologyOnce the system rails have been attached to the ceiling and floor, the room-height studs are secured in the ceiling rail by simply turning them by 45° and extended at the bottom. Telescopic technology enables installation without tools and without cutting the studs to length. The studs are secured in the system rail on the floor with a system rail clip. A swivelling head allows installation under pitched roofs as well.

Systematic processGeberit invests nearly 50 million Swiss francs annually in research and development each year and registers around 20 new patents each year. A customer's requirement or a brilliant idea is always the starting point for developing a new product. Meticulous, systematic work then follows, because the innovation process at Geberit does not leave anything to chance.

50 years in three monthsOnce the first prototypes of a new product are available, they are put through their paces. Intensely rigorous tests simulate a product life cycle of 50 years in just three months. Only the best product solutions can withstand these durability tests. The static and acoustic characteristics of individual products as well as entire systems are then tested in Geberit's Building Technology and Acoustics Laboratory.

The market has the final wordAfter the scientists and the technicians give a product the green light, it is next tested on the market. Serial production is only put into motion if plumbers, designers and end users give the product positive feedback.
