Your community school Tell Them From Me parent survey A reminder to parents that the Tell Them From Me parent survey is now open. You can access the survey between Wednesday 28 August 2019 and Friday 18 October 2019. Follow the link below on your computer, tablet or smartphone: http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/ahps1

The parent survey helps to clarify and strengthen the important relationship between parent and school.

How does it work? The survey is anonymous and is used to identify trends within schools and better inform school priorities. The survey is held once a year in term 3 and is run at the same time as the teacher survey and the second student survey. The survey is available in multiple languages and is conducted entirely online on computers, tablets, iPads or smartphones during the specific survey window. The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete.

What does it ask? The parent survey asks parents/carers a range of questions related to the following drivers of student outcomes:

How can schools use the data? The survey data can help schools: Understand parents’ perspectives on their children’s experience at school, including teaching, communication and the

school’s support of learning and behaviour Understand parents’ perspectives on activities and practices at home related to their children’s learning Provide evidence of areas of strength to support self-assessment and reporting Engage the school community in discussions to identify strategic directions for school improvement Establish quantitative improvement measures and help schools track achievement against them measures

The SchoolEnews app has a feature to send in absentee notes. We request that instead of phoning the school office to notify us your child is absent, please complete the absentee form on the SchoolEnews app under Digital Forms. This will save you sending a handwritten note or email to the classroom teacher explaining your child’s absence.
