With step-by-step instructions and guidance from experienced art teacher Donna, children explore their inner creativity in this fantastic workshop!

It’s like rock climbing…but without the ropes, just you against the wall! The walls are lower and surrounded by soft padded mats. There are varied levels of climbing, so there is something for all abilities!

Use skills such as strategic thinking and teamwork to play the GIANT versions of all your favourite games; Twister, Jenga, Chess and more!Enjoy a sausage sizzle lunch after all the fun and games!

Fun Sports is always one of the most popular Vacation Care incursions! Participate in exciting and engaging activities, including Gladiator Duels, Zorb Balls, Jumping Castles and the Speed Radar Soccer Challenge.

Get suited up with sensor vests and phasers in order to eliminate your opponent in a mobile game of laser tag!

Play with your friends whilst developing fitness, coordination, agility and more!

Terms and conditions of enrolment/bookings• Vacation care is available for primary school children;

Kindergarten children must complete their first school term before attending.

• Staff are employed between 7.30am – 6.00pm and children are to be signed in and out during these hours (fees apply for late pickups).

• A $30 family registration fee is payable for all new families to OSHC/Vacation care – this is a once off fee per family.

• Bookings can be made on the app up to 3pm the day before if there is space available. After 3pm please phone to check on availability.

• All bookings require a signed Excursion/Incursion Authorisation form and some activities require an event specific waiver. Without those forms completed through the OSH Enews app your booking is not confirmed. Please download the OSH Enews app to your smart phone or tablet. Further instructions available by emailing vacationcare@allambiekids.com.au

• Children can only be signed out by an authorised person with ID over 17 years of age, as nominated on the child’s enrolment form, collection authority or in written form.

• If a person collecting is under the influence or the child is at risk of harm, staff will make alternative arrangement for the child’s collection.

• Prescription medication can only be administered by us with written permission from the parent/guardian on our medication form. The medication must be in the original packaging and with expiry date, and dose visible. Non-prescription medicine including herbal/complimentary medicine and travel sickness tablets cannot be administered without a medical doctor’s letter.

• PG movies and games may be shown during the holiday period, please advise if you don’t want your child to participate.

• Some excursion activities require a minimum number of bookings to make it possible for the activity to go ahead. In the unlikely event that minimums are not reached, families will be advised, and alternative arrangements will be put in place. If due to circumstances out of our control an activity cannot go ahead, we will provide another activity and inform families as soon as possible.

• At times we will be using the school oval for activities and sports. Please see the risk assessments on our website for further information.

• We will also be running activities involving nail polish, hair spray and face paint throughout the Vacation Care period, please advise us if you don’t want your child to participate in these.

What to bring and what not to bring • Children need to bring a hat, morning tea, lunch,

snacks, afternoon tea, and a refillable drink bottle. Please no nuts or eggs. An ice brick should be packed.

• Children should not bring toys, mobile phones or expensive jewellery. All items brought by children are their responsibility.

• Children should not bring money as they will not be able to access shops or canteens on excursion days.

What to wear• Hat (vacation care specific hat is compulsory on

excursions) - no hat means children may only be able to play in the shade and miss out on outdoor activities.

• Please apply sunscreen to your child (except during winter) before dropping them off. The centre has sunscreen available for use during the day.

• Clothing must be practical and sun smart. Singlet tops are not appropriate as exposed shoulders can lead to sunburn.

• Please send spare clothes in your child’s backpack in case of spills/accidents etc.

• The centre may do messy activities so be prepared for dirty clothes at the end of the day.

• Enclosed shoes and socks only. No thongs, wheelie shoes, crocks and sandals. Children may not be able to participate in activities without suitable shoes and socks.

• Please label everything – including the excursion hat (see information below).

Important notes • The school gate will be locked at 9.15am sharp on

excursion days (unless otherwise outlined in brochure) to allow us time to prepare your children for our day out. Please arrive no later than 9:00am on excursion days to allow time to sign your child in, say goodbye and pass on any important information.

• Each enrolled child is provided with one excursion day hat free of charge. If your child does not bring their hat to an excursion day, another will be provided, and you will be billed $5.00. We keep ongoing records of children who have received their hat at a previous vacation care session. We do not keep your child’s hat at VacCare – it is their responsibility to look after it and bring it when required.

• The cut-off date for changes/cancellations to Autumn VacCare bookings is Sunday 29th March 2020. Bookings made after that date are automatically confirmed and full fees apply to every booking in our system from Sunday 29th March 2020 regardless of the reason for non-attendance.
