DESCRIPTION

AIESEC University is project aiming to develop Self awareness, communication skills and global mindset among 200 delegates in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, by making them more aware of world problems, inter cultural differences and opportunities in the world we are hoping to develop values that are needed in global society today. Project framework will be based on active delivering of trainings, coaching sessions, cultural events, language lessons and issue relevant events in order to deliver three earlier mentioned goals. Each of them will have a specific “how” and will be adjusted to the target audience within each Local committee. • Project is consistent of four editions which gives potential interns a chance to choose and find themselves in one of them.

• 21st century has already brought upon us unbelievable shifts and breakthrough changes, even more faster then we could

have ever imagined. Leadership before, compared to leadership now has changed drastically and new leaders are in the point where, in order to challenge the world, they need to develop a lot of uninstitutional skills and acquire big amount

of knowledge at the same time.

• AIESEC University is a project that aims to educate and develop future global leaders and with that influence

problems related to career development, literacy and culture understanding…

• Idea for this project, firstly came from a question on how can we as a youth run organization, impact and improve Kazakhstan reality including most of

the issues that we encounter here. AIESEC way of achieving peace and full leadership potential of a single individual lead us to believe that solution is in

making a direct impact on Kazakhstan youth in order for them to later on directly develop and improve social issues within the country. As a result we

believe that by giving chances to youth in a sense of competencies

developing, skills and values enchaining, we will achieve full leadership potential our society has.

• "Self-awareness keeps us grounded, attuned and

focused. When leaders are grounded, they are

able to be efficient and deliberate in staying on

task, and being attuned to those around them.

Leaders who have the ability to control their

minds and emotions help to guide those around

them to develop their own self-knowledge and

success."

Delegates will develop their self

awareness skills in this project trough :

• Discovering and analyzing their leadership style

and tendencies

• Personal coaching talks with interns from abroad

• Series of sessions with the goal of Values

discovery and goal settings

• Habit building workshops

• Feedback trainings

• Everything we do in life, and at work, communicates a message to others. And in a leadership role, it is important to make sure we are communicating the right message.

• Effective communication is therefore one of the most important leadership skills.

AIESEC University will enable delegates to enhance their communication skills by delivering trainings to delegates on:

• Active listening

• Effective communication

• Constructive feedback

• Communicating your idea

• Non verbal communication

• Story telling

All of the training will be focusing on simulations and providing delegates with a space to try out and develop theses skills as well as try them out before end of the project

Leaders with high levels of Global Mindset are more expert global leaders because of their ability to understand

and interpret what is going on in a global situation. They can more effectively interpret verbal and nonverbal

messages and signals from people from different cultures. In addition, these same expert global leaders

demonstrate high levels of flexibility, which manifests as the ability to act differently in different situations and

contexts.

Development of global mindset will mainly go trough: panel discussions and debate clubs about world issues/how

to solve them/Kazakhstan in the world, Culture awareness events organized by AIESEC, English language lessons...

• The Republic of Kazakhstan, situated at the heart of Eurasia, appeared on the geopolitical map in 1991. The name Kazakh, of

Turkic origin, is thought to mean “free man” – which is appropriate in a land historically populated by freedom-loving nomads.

• The people of Kazakhstan are proud of their diversity. Century after century, generation after generation, Kazakhstan has always sought

to encourage friendship and tolerance among its people.

• Currently around 130 nationalities populate Kazakhstan.

• Despite being the ninth largest country in the world, Kazakhstan remains, for many people, an unknown and enigmatic place. Even

the most well-travelled visitor will find many fascinations in Kazakhstan: mountain peaks covered with snow, vast highlands,

deep rivers, parched deserts, endless fields covered with flowers and virgin forest reserves, highest ice rink in the world, worlds largest lake,

1 of the 4 best theaters in the world, biggest tent in the world, etc.

• It is not necessary to search the entire world for fascinating tradition, beautiful, pristine nature or a delicate mixture of old and modern:

simply visit Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, guests are made welcome as they experience the very heart of Eurasia.

• Project realization – from 10th of February until 15th of march

• Accommodation and food provided

• Migration cost – 2500 KZT

• Interns should buy tickets from Almaty to the project realization city before their arrival.
