CRAFT AND BAKE SALE

Yes it’s that time of year Christmas is fast approaching and so is the Annual Craft and

Bake sale. Volunteers are needed to help in the kitchen to sell the baked goods. Please

sign up on the bulletin board if you are able to help for 1 hour or more.

ATTENTION LADIES! Start finding your favorite recipes to make your wonderful

goodies for the Holiday Craft and Bake sale on Saturday December 2nd. All items

should be marked with a price. The church will be open on Friday Dec.1st from 4-7

pm and again at 7:30am Saturday morning

LWML CHRISTMAS PARTY

Tuesday December 5th will be the LWML Christmas Party with potluck and silent

auction at 6:30pm at church.

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS

We are planning a fun movie outing for the Sunday school kids! On Sunday December 3rd we will be going to a matinee showing of “THE STAR” in Mankato. The Star is rated PG. Once the date gets closer we will be able to pin point the showing time, but for now we would like to get a heads up of which children are interested in joining! Our congregation has so generously donated the funds towards each child’s movie ticket and a treat/[popcorn for the movie! If your child is in preschool Sunday school class, we do ask that their parents provide and accompany their child to the movie. Transportation for older children will be configured once we see how many kids are interested in going. Please sign up your child for the movie in the next two weeks if you’re interested in having them come! The sign up sheet is located just before the Sunday school wing.. Thanks so much!

This year’s Sunday school Christmas program, “THE CHRISTMAS STORY” will be on Sunday December 17th during the 10am worship service. We are very excited about the new program and we cannot wait to show you their version of the greatest story ever told… The Christmas Story.

FYI FROM BEA SCHOOLS

If there are any children that get added to church programs thoughout the year. Please e-mail or call their school to let them know of the change or remind the parent to let the school know. The school needs a heads up if there is a child that needs transporta-tion after the church programs are over. They had an incident this week where a child joined and the school didn’t know.

CHRISTMAS MEATLOAF DINNER

Sunday December 3rd 2017 from 11am to 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church Elmore. Dinner includes: Meatloaf, Parsley potatoes, Salads, deserts and beverage for $8.00 sign is up in the Narthex.

MAYO CHILDREN’S MEMORIAL SERVICE

Sunday December 10th service is at 6:30pm followed by a light refreshments at Hilltop

United Methodist Church at 108 S. Manitou Drive, Mankato. This service is held each

year, candles are lit around the world in memory of children who have died. Join in for

a candle light service to honor and celebrate children who died during pregnancy, child-

hood or adulthood. More information is posted on the bulletin boards in the Narthex.
