    THE ATLANTA MASJID OF AL-ISLAM

    Some Guiding Principles

Hospitality is not a function of being friendly to

friends but of learning how to be good host and

hostesses tour community members and to our

guests who may be the strangers and the seekers

who come to the Masjid in search of something

they may not have and may be in need of

Hospitality involves and requires good customer

    TRAINING HOSPITALITY HOSTS AND

HOSTESSES AT THE ATLANTA MASJID OF

    AL-ISLAM Some Guiding Principles (Cont.)

Customer service is the practice of providing

customers with a positive, helpful experience when

they enter a business, ensuring their satisfaction

    with their experience

As a host/hostess, you should make an effort to

speak to everyone who enters the door.

    TRAINING HOSPITALITY HOSTS AND

HOSTESSES AT THE ATLANTA MASJID OF

    AL-ISLAM Guiding Principles (Cont.)

As a host/hostess, you should make an effort tohave a conversation with everyone who appears to

be new. Make everyone feel welcome and valued asa part of the community. Regardless of yourintentions, its easy to let someone feel like anoutcast. When people feel welcome, they are more

likely to receive the communal atmosphere andreceive inspiration from the message that is beingshared. They are more likely to draw inspirationfrom the experience both internally and externally.
