We will meet at LOGAN CENTER at 3:00p.m. We will view a

matinee show at a local cinema, and go for dinner at an area

restaurant. The time of our movie will determine if we eat

dinner before or after the movie. Movies may be rated G,

PG, or PG-13. We do not see rated R movies.

Cost will include: your movie ticket, dinner, supervision,

and transportation. Please bring extra money if you wish to

have snacks at the movies. Please note: a medium Coke &

medium Popcorn is $14.10 at the movies! Arrange to be

picked up at LOGAN CENTER at 7:30p.m.

LOGAN Recreation & Leisure services offers activities in the commu-

nity and at the LOGAN Center building for individual’s with devel-

opmental disabilities ages 18 and above. You must register to attend

any of our activities. Please call Dana Molenda or Alicia Hood at

LOGAN Center if you have any questions.

Please note: Activity details for our trips will inform you what to

expect during our event. Activity details will include what costs will

be covered, what you may need to bring with you, and when and/or

where to be dropped off & picked up that day. Please keep a copy of

our calendar for your records and share activity details with Staff/

Caregivers. Please note, it is important every caregiver knows where

an individual is going when coming for Recreation activities to insure

individuals are prepared for the days’ events.

Larger Group activities are loosely supervised, and a Staff/Caregiver

will need to attend with you. Activity details will explain what ac-

tivities are loosely supervised. LOGAN Recreation events have 1

staff person per 8 individuals attending. When needed, some partic-

ipants may be asked to have staff stay with them at smaller events

to ensure they receive enough support during community outings.

One-on-one support cannot be provided at all times during events.

Remember to always dress according to the weather including a hat, a

jacket/coat, gloves, and scarf if needed. Read calendar details to

know when we will be outdoors and dress accordingly. In the event

of inclement weather, activities may be canceled or changed. If an

activity is canceled or changed, you will be called at the number in-

dicated on your registration form at least one hour before the activi-

ty is to begin. You must be registered to get a call!

Payment is not required at time of registration.

If you send payment, make checks payable to LOGAN Recreation.

If an activity is already full & you have sent a payment, your check

will be returned with a list of activities you may attend.

A REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION FORM will be sent back to you

with the activities marked that you are approved to attend.

LOGAN Dances require you to PRE-REGISTER every 3 months when

new calendars are received. Tickets will only be sent if payment is in-

cluded with your Registration Form. If you are pre-registered, you

may pay at the door and receipts will be provided. Notifications of

changes to dances will only reach those who are pre-registered.

Annual Participation Forms are required to attend Any Activity.

Please update forms as needed and keep information current.

All Behavioral, Dining, and/or Risk Plans

(i.e. falls, choking, seizures) should be included.

LIVE THEATER SHOW & DINNER AFTER SHOW

We will meet at LOGAN CENTER at 1:00pm. We will go to the South

Bend Civic Theater to see the new Musical “Caroline, or Change”.

“Caroline or Change” tells the story of an African-American mother

of 4 struggling to provide for her own family as a maid for another

low income Jewish Family. Although the family cannot give Caro-

line a raise, Caroline is told she may keep the pocket change young

8 year old Noah leaves in his pants pockets while she is doing their

families laundry. Noah begins to leave change for Caroline in hopes

of helping her and growing closer. This powerful story is set in the

time of the Civil Rights Movement has become an award winning

Musical on and off Broadway!

Cost will include your Ticket to the Show ($23), Dinner, Transpor-

tation, and Supervision. Please bring additional money with you

for snacks or beverages at the show. We will go out for dinner

around 5:00pm after the Play. Arrange to be picked up at LOGAN

CENTER at 7:00p.m.

leased DVD Movies on the Big Screen at the LOGAN Center building. A

feature length Movie will be shown with a shorter Movie after. Pizza and

Beverages will be served as a late lunch during the first movie.

Cost will include your pizza lunch, beverages, costs for newer movies,

and supervision. You may bring extra snacks or beverages with you if

desired. LOGAN Recreation does not have access to the Vending Ma-

chines at the LOGAN Center building. Arrange to be picked up at LOGAN

CENTER at 4:30pm.

We will meet at LOGAN CENTER at the above stated times. We will go

out for dinner at McDonald’s before going to see the Notre Dame Men’s

Hockey Game in the Compton Arena at Notre Dame. Cost will include

your choice at dinner, beverages, transportation, and supervision. You

may wish to bring additional money with you for snacks, drinks, candy,

or souvenirs at the Game. Arrange to be picked up at LOGAN CENTER at

the above stated times.

PLEASE NOTE

You cannot take a purse or bag into the stadium. All items brought into

the stadium must be in a Clear Tote bag or Baggie. The bag cannot be

larger than a 1 gallon size Zip Lock Baggie and all items must be clearly

seen.

Please bring extra money with you for beverages, video

games, or playing music at the bowling alley. You may

bring your own shoes & bowling ball if you have them,

but they are not required! Arrange to be picked up at

LOGAN CENTER at 5:00p.m.

Logan Center. For those of you at LOGAN Industries, a ride will be pro-

vided from LI to Logan Center at 4:00p.m. each Thursday. Arrange to

be picked up at LOGAN CENTER at 6:00p.m. Rides from LOGAN Indus-

tries limited to 8 persons and require registration.

We will meet at LOGAN CENTER at 2:00pm. We will travel over to the Ler-

ner Theatre in Elkhart to hear the Dave Bennett Quartet perform. Dave Ben-

nett returns to Elkhart with his quartet to present a Musical History of Rock

Music! Not only does the quartet feature music from the Swing era, but they

also touch on country, rockabilly and pop, with original brand-new jazz com-

positions thrown in. An annual favorite at the Elkhart Jazz Festival, The Dave

Bennett Quartet enthralls audiences with toe-tapping swing, moody blues,

and emotional ballads. Audiences will hear the influences of Benny Good-

man, Pete Fountain, Jerry Lee Lewis, even Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel in

this group's music.

Cost will include a ticket to the show ($27), transportation, dinner after

the show, and supervision. Please bring extra money with you for

snacks or beverages at the show.

activity at 4:45pm to ensure everyone has arrived. We will

play a round of mini golf first, after golf we will enjoy a bever-

age, and if time allows, play games. Cost will cover mini golf,

a beverage, game credits, and supervision. Arrange to be

picked up at Mega Play at 5:45p.m.

pervision. We will return to LOGAN CENTER on Sunday, April 14 for Check

-Out at 4:00p.m. Arrange for your ride to be at LOGAN CENTER by 4:00p.m.

CAMP FRIEDENSWALD DOES NOT HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE

LODGING. ALL CAMPERS WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO WALK UPON

(2) Luggage Area – All bags/pillows/blankets will be given a name tag.

(3) Medication Table - Bring Meds and Medication Sheets with date, time,

dosage, & pill count.

CARE GIVERS: Please do not leave your person at LOGAN CENTER

until they have completed the entire CHECK - IN pro-

cess! You are responsible for your person until we com-

plete the CHECK-IN process. All participants should stay

inside the Boardroom after they have checked in.

Each person will need to bring the following items: a Sleeping Bag/Heavy

Blanket (rolled, tied, secured), a Sheet, a pillow, a Towel, a Wash Cloth, Personal

Care Items (i.e.: deodorant, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, hairbrush), at least 2 or

more Changes of Clothes, Pajamas, Medications, and Snacks/Drinks if desired.

There are no snack or pop machines at Camp. Please dress & pack according to

the weather! Wear your winter coat and hat. Do not wear shorts, it will be cold

outside! Bring extra money with you for the Camp Store if you wish to shop!

Please note, we rely on Volunteers to provide support to individuals’ needs

during our overnight trip. LOGAN Recreation Staff will be available to help co-

ordinate weekend activities. Dana Molenda will pass out medications during

the Trip. Any individuals who require additional care or supervision during the

weekend may require an independent staff stay with them overnight.
