Accelerated Learning Basic Photography

More people are loving photography and sales for DSLRs are going sky high nowadays.

It is not a surprise though since photographs are really a great way to capture

memorable moments in our lives.

Now, if you have zero knowledge in photography (of course, aside from the point-and-

shoot digital cameras!), don’t worry, for accelerated learning photography, there are

three basic rules that you need to remember.

Note now that these are just basics and you still have a lot of learning to do fully

master the art of photography. It’s going to be a long road but you will definitely enjoy

this journey- as long as you have the passion for the craft.

1. Lighting Rules

Whenever you look at a photo, you would just immediately see how happy the people

are or how beautiful the landscape is. But a real photographer would see a lot of

different things. The first of which would be the good or bad lighting.

Whether you are using natural light or flash, you have to be really careful to not

overexpose your photos and if there is too much glare on the background. Here’s a tip,

when you are shooting outside and on a sunny day, you should actually use your flash

to lighten up your subject’s face.

2. Focusing Rules

Every good photograph has a clear focus. You could take a photo of a busy crowd but

there should always be that part of the picture that would draw more attention. The

focus is really important to make sure that your photo wouldn’t look too cluttered.

When you are taking photos, remember that the “auto focus” option in your camera is

not always reliable. Refrain from using this function if you want to really develop an eye

and talent for photography.

3. Positioning Rules

Positioning your subject or your camera is very important in producing great photos.

There are many tips about these but since you are just starting learning it, or in this

case, accelerated learning photography, as I mentioned earlier, stick with the basic

rules first.

The usual technique that photographers use is finding the best profile of their subjects.

This is most effective for portrait shots. Just move around and be as creative as

possible. Another tip for portrait shots is to try to be as close to the subject as possible

and to try to get to the same level they are so the photo would come out more

intimate.

Learning photography takes a lot of time and practice. So never give up on it. There are

a lot of photographers out there today so take some tips from them. If you want to

learn photography, you should find more ways to learn it in the accelerated learning

manner.
