Updating employee leave on SAP

Page 45: ACC final presentation
Page 46: ACC final presentation

By entering the respective employer login id the page opens .

It has 3 forms int form 1. pt 502. Pt603. Pt61 On clicking on form pt 61 we need to enter employee

code and then go and click amongst the options such as salary ,compensation ,leave ,attendance etc.

After this go to pt50 where all details of employees are stored and updated and is used for reference for updating manually .

Information about its functioning

Page 47: ACC final presentation

In form there are 2 types of leave :

1. Casual leave that is each employee gets 7 casual leave in a month ,if an employee takes any casual leave in a month the leave equivalent to days is deducted from total casual leave .If he does not take any leave then 0.58 is added to it and carry forward to the next month .

2. Actual leave is provided 50 at the beginning of the year ,only 35 leaves can be carry forward to next month so it is advised to employees to utilise their actual leave first ,and if no actual leave is taken then 3.33 is added and carry forward to the next month balance ,for actual leave (no. of actual leave *3.33) is deducted from total actual leave .

FINDINGS

Page 49: ACC final presentation

Based on the analysis and interpretation of the data, findings are recorded which are as follows-

Employee engagement activity played a great role for motivating employees; hence it should be conducted more often from time to time.

The employees in Borivili and Palawa plant seems more likely and willing towards conducting such activity and participated with full enthusiasm .

Proper canteen and drinking water facility was provided in only one plant out of the 6 plants visited .

Understood the process of recruitment for hiring potential candidates in ACC Concrete .

Page 50: ACC final presentation

Designing employee birthday calendar and representing their names on calendar made them feel much more attached and a feeling of belongingness .

Most of the employees reach office on time except a few ,it clearly shows a healthy workplace to work .

By organizing festivals like Diwali ,Dusherra creates a joyful environment for employees in the organization

Timely payment of salary doesn’t remain the key motivators all the time to keep employee engaged but ,providing canteen ,restrooms one day off in a week ,arranging a small movie time for employees within a plant can make them more engaged .

Excess of water logging in some plants can create a problem in smooth functioning ,therefore need to be rectified soon .

Page 51: ACC final presentation

CONCLUSION

Page 52: ACC final presentation

Employee engagement emphasizes the importance of employee communication on the success of a business. An organization should thus recognize employees, more than any other variable, as powerful contributors to a company's competitive position. Therefore employee engagement should be a continuous process of learning, improvement, measurement and action.

We would hence conclude that raising and maintaining employee engagement lies in the hands of an organization and requires a perfect blend of time, effort, commitment and investment to craft a successful Endeavour.

Page 53: ACC final presentation

RECOMMENDATIONS

Page 54: ACC final presentation

Organization should continue conducting these activities from time to time, it should not be like conducting once in every 6 months , it demolishes their will to participate .

Like employee birthday calendar for corporate employees, similarly employee birthday calendar for workers at plant level should also be done .

Arrangement of suggestion and query box in each and every plant should be done and Initiate Immediate Action for employee responses to queries and problems .

Cameras should be installed within the office premises so that employee timely work and individual performance recognition can be timely measured & also safety of employee belongings .

Apart from carom , arrangements for chess, dart and pool should be also installed.

Wearing of PPE should be made mandatory at all plants along with a fine of rs 1000 for voilating it .

Page 55: ACC final presentation

Proper arrangement of first aid facilities & room for employees at all plants should be made mandatory and also an ambulance van for critical injury .

Dealing with employees and worker with equal respect at workplace irrespective of positions they hold.

Improvement in Employee Relationship and Communication.

To provide bonus to employee on festivals to make them more attached and motivated towards the organization.

To incur recruitment from only one source cannot provide potential candidates for the desired job ,organization should switch on to few other sites such as times job, monster job etc

Page 56: ACC final presentation

KEY LEARNING

Page 57: ACC final presentation

Learned to deal with people and also to understand the ability to engage employees in the organization which is very important ingredient in Human resource

The recruitment process provided us the insight as to what actually

recruitment process is and tactics to communicate with candidates while recruiting them

Money cannot be solely be only factor important to keep employees motivated all the time ,other factor needs to be taken into consideration such as recognition, proper hygiene facilities ,festive bonus etc

Page 58: ACC final presentation

LIMITATIONS

Page 59: ACC final presentation

The time constraint is a major reason for incomprehensiveness.

Respondents were not willing to give their time for survey due to consistently ongoing process 24*7.

Respondents were not willing to share correct information.

The views of people are biased therefore it doesn’t reflect true picture.

The data that has been obtained through the survey has been done manually.

Many respondents were not keen to answer the questionnaire.
