Where do you teach BODYpUmp®? At the original club—the birthplace of BODYPUMP®—Les Mills Auckland.

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? The moment I saw the program, I just knew it was for me.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why?Clean and Press. If there was one move to rule them all it would be this—a wicked blend of cardio “kicker” and full body “noise.”

What is your best fi tness tip?Just keep showing up. We’ll do the rest!

Where were you born? Auckland, New Zealand.

Where do you teach BODYpUmp®?When I’m home, at Les Mills Auckland. When I’m not, 24 Hour Fitness®, Gold’s Gym®, and all around the world!

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? I used to watch the BODYPUMP® class that was on before my step class. I was fascinated by so many people (especially females) doing weights and having fun. Plus the music was always awesome! I had no idea that I would love it so much.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? The Clean and Press. When people do this move with challenging weights all the way to the end, you can see that they’re not only stronger physically, but mentally they’re like, “I can do this! I can do anything!”

What is your best fi tness tip?Moderation. Too much of anything is unhealthy. Try everything!

Where were you born? Preston, England.

Where do you teach BODYpUmp®? The home of Les Mills in Auckland, New Zealand, where I also teach and choreograph Les Mills’ SH’BAM™ and BODYCOMBAT® programs. But as an international trainer, I can teach anywhere and everywhere!

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor?I loved doing it as a class participant and wanted to share it with my friends who knew nothing about it.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? I love shoulders. Anything working with plates rocks!

What is your best fi tness tip?Fall in love with fi tness/working out and the rest comes naturally.

Where were you born? In a town called Mölndal near Gothenburg, Sweden.

Where do you teach BODYpUmp®?Gothenburg, Sweden

Why did you become an instructor? I wanted to become stronger in general and to fi nd a complement to my dancing. Since I love working out to music, this was perfect!

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? Dead Row. It gives great posture for everyday life and the butt looks great doing it. ;)

What is your best fi tness tip? Know WHY you do it. With a goal, everything is much more fun!

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? It took one class. I was instantly addicted to the energy, and knew that this class was about to change my life forever.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? The Mac Raise. It’s such a raw exercise. I love watching my participants’ faces in the fi nal few reps of this exercise during the shoulder track.

What is your best fi tness tip? Never underestimate the importance of stretching!

Where do you teach BODYpUmp®? Valley Athletic Club, Olympia, Washington.

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? After taking my very fi rst BODYPUMP® class, I was captivated and inspired by the music and moves. I love lifting weights, and I wanted to show people it’s possible to do something they never thought they could!

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? I’ve always loved the shoulder tracks, mainly the Mac Raise. Combined with the music and choreography, it’s such a powerful exercise.

What is your best fi tness tip? When someone tells me they’re thinking about trying a class, I tell them to get in there and try it. They may feel lost the fi rst time, but they’ll still have a blast and it will only get better from there.

What is your best fi tness tip? Find a type of exercise/workout that you enjoy. Then turn up the intensity.

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? I loved the motivational aspect of weight training with music.

What's your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? Defi nitely the Clean and Press/Row combo. It’s got everything in it—upper and lower body—plus it just feels good.

What is your best fi tness tip?Be realistic. Incorporate little changes into your life. When you look back in a year’s time, you’ll see how far you’ve come.

Where do you teach BODYpUmp®? Lifestyle Family Fitness®, Lakeland, Florida.

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? I was teaching Les Mills’ BODY JAM® and BODYCOMBAT® already, and I wanted to fulfi ll my passion for resistance training. I truly love working out, and BODYPUMP® took my love for weight training and combined that with my love for training others.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? Overhead Tricep Extensions. My triceps and arms in general are very strong, so when I educate participants on the importance of proper execution and safety, they always look at my arms fi rst. Then they actively listen. It’s all about the participants.

What is your best fi tness tip? You have to set specifi c goals and be very detailed about them. Then you have to continuously follow up with your goals and be fl exible enough to adjust and tweak what’s not working.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? The three bad-boy muscle groups are my fave: Squats, chest, and back.

What is your best fi tness tip? Don’t quit!

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? I always dreamed of becoming a Les Mills National trainer and knew BODYPUMP® was the way to go. It turned into a complete obsession for me as I made new friends, clients, and coworkers who shared the same passion for music and exercise.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? Squat. I can put the most weight on the bar, I feel strong, and I love watching the room move with so much strength.

What is your best fi tness tip? Be realistic! When choosing physical activity, it’s crucial to do something that you really enjoy. Choose a path that’s achievable so you’re satisfi ed spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Move every day!

Where do you teach BODYpUmp®? Gold’s Gym, Santa Monica, California. Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? I’m a Mills (the original Les Mills is my grandfather!), so the addiction to BODYPUMP® is really in my blood.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? Clean and Press. It works the most muscles at once, so it’s the most challenging!

What is your best fi tness tip?Find a great, addicting, whole-body workout that takes under an hour to do. Find whatever workout you enjoy that fi ts your lifestyle and stick with it. Fitness can’t be a hassle; it needs to be a part of your day you look forward to.

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? Because I want to help people get fi t and in shape!

What is your favorite LeS mILLS pUmp move and why? Squats. You can’t cheat them so you have to hold on until the end.

What is your best fi tness tip? Consistency. Always stay consistent with exercise and nutrition rather than starting and stopping. Think long term. What can you realistically keep doing for the next 10 years? If you can’t train that hard for the next 10 years, it’s too much!

Where were you born? Te Awamutu, New Zealand.

Where do you teach? I teach BODYFLOW® all over the world.

Why did you become a BODYpUmp® instructor? We created BODYPUMP® to make weight training more accessible and fun, and I created BODYFLOW® to do the same for yoga so more people would experience its wonderful benefi ts. I added tai chi as a way to calm and focus people fast, and strong core work because this is fundamental to functional training for life.

What is your favorite LeS mILLS FLOW move and why? Sun Salutations, because of the beautiful combination of breath and movement. It’s the best expression of yoga for me.

What is your best fi tness tip? Be consistent, just like brushing your teeth. We don’t think about whether we should brush our teeth every day, and the same philosophy should apply to fi tness.
