September 2013 (Detailed Monthly Summary)

I have set up my media blog where I will show all of my finished work and I have decided that I will do a music video as my ancillary project for my final coursework. I have chosen the name of my artist I will use for my music video, digipak, poster etc. I have also started my Ancillary 1 construction, however on a later date I will have to add to the product as I need to take photos of my artist and decide what approach I want to take with my partner for my music video.

I need to come back to my ancillary 1 on a later date, as well as take images of my artist and apply them to my digipak and music poster. I also need to do some more research and have it competed on my blog by the deadline.

October 2013 (Detailed Monthly Summary)

I have finished uploading all of my ancillary 1 to my blog and I have also begun my Ancillary 2 piece for my coursework, It is currently being constructed and when I have finished it I will upload it to my blog. I will have to make amends to it on a later date similar to the ancillary 1 coursework due to the requirement of taking photographs of my chosen artist.

I need to return to ancillary 1 and 2 to add images and change my design slightly; however I need to decide a date for when to take images of the artist to add to the ancillary 1 and 2, and I also need to begin thinking of an idea for my chosen music video.

November 2013 (Detailed Monthly Summary)

I have completed Ancillary 2 and I have started my main piece research and planning, I have created a generation of ideas to add to my blog, and this has helped me and my partner in having a vague idea of the genre and song choice of the music video, in which we decided to use the song Hey Brother by Avicii.

If the song Hey Brother by Avicii isn’t suitable for our idea of music video, we have decided on a second song as a backup, so therefore we have a second basic idea of what we need to do.

December 2013 (Detailed Monthly Summary)

We have decided which song we are definitely using for our music video which is Hey Brother by Avicii and we have started our script to model our story to match the music, we have a clear idea of the storyline we have decided to approach in the creation of this music video, and in the script we can decide what editing techniques and effects we can use in our video.

We need to complete the script as soon as possible so we can film our music video and start the editing process. We can continue when we begin college again after the holidays.

Mon W/B 06/01/14 (Detailed Weekly Summary)

We have completed about half of the music video on our script and we have also started the storyboard, however the script is essential to the creation of the storyboard as we need to decide the times and shots on the script before drawing it out on the storyboard. We both share the same idea of our music video.

My main focus is to get close to finishing the script by next week and to have done a few frames on the storyboard, when the script is done we can complete the storyboard quickly so we can get editing completed as soon as possible.



We have done 3 minutes of our script and we have started the storyboard with our full attention now, we now have a general idea of the outcome of our music video, and we can picture the shots because of the few frames we have done on the storyboard.

I am planning on completing the storyboard in the next two weeks, and we need to come up with the dates that we are planning to film.


The script is now completed, now both of us are working on the storyboard and the script has been uploaded to my blog.

Now that the script is finished and uploaded to my blog I plan on completing the storyboard by next week so we can film as soon as possible, If myself or my partner is off one of us can work on the storyboard in lesson and when I or he returns we can work during our free periods to complete it to a high standard.


We are almost finished on the storyboard and I have started to write the report of our music video, the idea and conventions are clear now and our main focus is to finish the storyboard and upload it to my blog.

I need to upload my storyboard to my blog when I have completed it as well as decide who the actors are for our music video and where it will be filmed.


The storyboard and the report is complete, I have uploaded them both to my blog, now we are deciding the dates to film our music video, and we have decided who will be in our music video and the location where we will shoot.

We need to decide dates to film and plan to book the camera.


My storyboard, report and script is on my blog, arranged to get the camera so we can film and made plans for the days that we will record our music video over the week off.

If one of the cast members doesn’t turn up, we will record all of the establishing shots of the music video, or if the weather leaves us unable to record, we will need to shoot all of the indoor footage that we need and arrange the filming for later in the week when the weather is better.


Almost all of the coursework I am currently working on is complete just planning to film for Tuesday, everyone is booked and the house is available.

If the house is unavailable we have another house that we could use for the indoor footage, and if the weather isn’t to a great standard we have discussed other dates that the outdoor footage can be shot.


All of the coursework I am currently working on is complete excluding the music video. We were unable to film last week because my friend who is also working on the music video alongside me had an unexpected holiday that lasted the entire week off, so we were unable to film the footage because he is

All filming is complete as well as the coursework we are currently working on, I just need to edit the music video in order to complete it on time for the coursework deadline.

I plan to have the coursework edited for a few weeks from now, and if I am unable to attend on the days designated for editing I can come into class during dinner or frees to get the footage edited to a high standard.


We are currently still working on completing the music video to a high standard, all of my current coursework is up to date and uploaded.

Hopefully we plan to have the music video edited within the next few weeks, and we also need to take some pictures of the artist to return to my ancillary 1 and 2 and amend them.


We have pieced all of the footage together for our music video, we just need to fine tune the editing so it matches the music and until it reaches a good standard, and all other coursework we are currently working on is up to date.

We could slow shots down and rearrange our footage in case the music video doesn’t match with the music.


We have completely finished editing the music video we just need to export it and upload it to a video sharing website; I have looked at the plan of the evaluation.

I hope to have uploaded the music video as well as finished the first draft of my evaluation within the next few weeks.


While I was of I managed to decide how I will get the feedback from people and I have begun the evaluation where I write about what different techniques I have used, software etc.

I plan to have completed the first draft of my evaluation and get the focus group responses within the next few weeks.


I have completed all my ancillary products, evaluation etc., and all of my work is uploaded to my blog.
