A1 Counselling for anger management
Of all the emotions that a human may experience and react to, anger is the one viewed as
negative, as an error. Yet anger is a healthy emotion, it is part of self-defence. Anger only
becomes an issue if the emotion and behaviour are either disproportionate to the prompt, or
misdirected and affect the wrong person
Anger builds from a number of sensations that change the outward appearance of the face and
body. When someone asks for help to manage angry behaviour that has got out of control, then
Charterhouse Counselling’s role is to familiarise that person with their early symptoms (rapid heart-
rate, shallow breathing, feeling tense or even hot), so that awareness of these can help the person
to remain calm and proceed under control.
In this field, much research has been done and we are one of the institutions that provide Anger
Management counselling. We know that when a person develops an angry mood, he or she faces a
number of physical as well as biological changes in the body which, in turn, distress the body as
well as mind. These can include sharp pains and dull aches.
Therefore the Anger Management counsellor is here to help you with a six-session anger
management course. One example of people coming forward for help is that, when feeling trapped
in a relationship, he or she can experience a great deal of stress leading to high level of anger.

to suffer from problems such as high blood pressure, increase in heart beat, excessive sweat and
overheating.
