Hello CSC Shaggers!
Kudos! Kudos! Kudos! to all who made the Valentine's
Re-up membership party a resounding success! Decorations,
Food and the Amazing Line Dance entertainment made this
Valentine's party extra special. Martha, Jean and all our line
dancers have brought back a wonderful part of our shag club.
Thank you once again to Billy Waldrep for spinning the
tunes, and congratulations to Billy on the recent announcement
of his upcoming induction into the Beach Shaggers DJ Hall of
Fame which will be held during DJ Throwdown the first
weekend in March. For those attending DJ Throwdown, he
will be inducted at Fat Harold’s Beach Club in North Myrtle
Beach on Friday night, March 2nd
at 10:00 p.m.
Our Carolina Shag Club Charity Classic fundraiser
featuring The Tams is Saturday, April 7th
. I encourage
everyone to come out for this event. It will be a lot of fun. It
also supports our great CSC charities. Tickets are now on sale
for $25 at Friar’s on Wednesday nights; also available through
PayPal. For more information, check out the flyer on page 16.
We have so much more fun to share this year and hope to
see you out on the dance floor! Please take time to read all the

Courage. Those of you who attended the Christmas Party will remember that CSC
presented two members of Camp Courage with a donation of $8,192 from CSC. Much
of these funds came from the April Hangar Party at the Downtown Airport.

Carolina Shag Club – Minutes of Board Meetings
Carolina Shag Club is beginning to share the board meeting minutes with its members. At present, the minutes
will appear in the monthly newsletter. Minutes of meetings are not published until the minutes of the previous
meeting are approved at a subsequent meeting. Since meetings are usually held only once a month, minutes will
typically be two months behind.
If you have questions concerning subjects in the minutes, please contact CSC President Terry Gordon or one of

Junior Cyclone III is a big inland event designed for junior shaggers. It's three days of fun, and it's
very affordable. The event will cover everything from the very basics to advanced, competition level
skills. There will be instruction on playing and editing music, how to DJ, etc. There will also be fun
games, a photo booth, a drawing contest and more. There's even a fun mixed-doubles contest.
Instructors will be Ashley and Tobitha Stewart, Gene and Nancy Pope, Scott Campbell and Nikki
Kontoulas, Kayla Henley and others.
