JANUARY 2018

As president of R&B Shag Club for the year 2018; I

want to say welcome. I want to thank Carolyn

Wingate and the entire 2017 board for a job well

done. Myself and your board will strive to make

2018 a fun year. We are working on ways to make

each party fun. If you have any ideas, please see me

or any board member. You the members are what

R&B is all about. Our meetings are the first Monday

in each month at Morningside Baptist church. If you

would like to address the board, please contact me.

Now let’s get down to business. Starting the year

off with a bang. January 20 will be our re-up party.

The Carolina Coast Band and Rhonda McDowell

will be entertaining you. Also, Butch Metcalf will be

keeping dancing alive with his expert music. The

cost will be as following: You can join for

$20/person and pay $10 to attend this party. Non-

members cost will be $20/person. So come and

enjoy the party. If you join, your party fees are $5

for the remainder of the year. Bring snacks and

bring a friend. Tickets will be available at the door.

Last but not least, our December party was a lot of

fun. The food was great as John’s catering

furnished the food. We had around 145 people

attend. Carolyn Wingate was the winner of the

50/50.

Again, I am looking forward to a great year. I will

make one promise: WE ARE GOING TO HAVE

FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, come and join us each

month.

begun a several month recovery following a serious

car accident.
