Saturday – November 30th

Small Business Saturday is a day to rally people nation-wide to get out on November 30th – the Saturday after Thanksgiving – and go to their local businesses to “Shop Small.” The Southwest Valley Chamber is encouraging all businesses in the Southwest Valley to get involved with this

campaign. It’s free to participate: it’s mostly a spread the word campaign. Letting the public know they need to Shop Small. The information packet and materials are available on the Chamber’s website, SouthwestVal-leyChamber.org/swvcshopsmall.

Chamber UNPLUGGED: the New Unprogram

It’s been said that more deals are made outside of working hours than in the boardroom. That’s the reason we’ve intro-duced Chamber UNPLUGGED. No program, no plan – just a casual setting for members to chat and take a break from the normal routine. Find the next Unplugged event on the golden rod ‘Upcoming Things to Do’ sheet, the Chamber’s online calendar, or the newsletter’s monthly calendar. You’ll be very surprised and glad you became unplugged.

Member of the MonthEach month the Board of Directors for the Southwest Val-ley Chamber of Commerce selects a member, or members, of the Chamber who have provided special services to the organization and its members.

October’s Members of the Month are Lynelle Reynolds of Foot Solutions Goodyear and Jacob Cosper of Desert Valley Graphics. Lynelle and Jacob were among the first Chamber members to sign up for Saturday Volunteer Hours at the Chamber Office. While they weren’t the only ones to do so, they were the two that picked all the October Saturdays filling an immediate need at the Chamber Office. Be sure to watch the Newsletter for their free $100 worth of advertising!

BTW, Saturdays are still available! Eight hours of Volunteerism will net you $100 in advertising – either two business card size ads or one double ad! Call Danielle at 623.932.2260 to see which Saturdays work for you!
