A Fit and Healthy Life
My StorySixteen years ago I lost 100lbs. I began by
walking and then working out at a gym. I then sought out Weight Watchers and learned how to balance my nutrition.
Today I still practice this lifestyle, working out 5 sometimes 6 days a week, resting on Sundays.
I have since become a Fitness Instructor and a marathon runner.
I’d like to persuade you all to see how important being a good steward over your body helps you to be more effective for Christ.
Deciding to Get MovingMy light bulb momentDinner at home one night with my family God spoke to me- Go for your walk the
cleanup can wait.Walking the neighborhood – 2 laps, 4 laps,
working at a gym, then joining weight watchers.
Learning how to portion my food and what food I should eat.
A Healthy Lifestyle has RewardsA Healthy Lifestyle has many rewards:It controls stressIncreases self esteem and confidenceGives you more energyGives you an active body which aids in you
sleeping well.
A Healthy Lifestyle has benefitsChoosing to have a fit and healthy lifestyle
has many benefits:It lowers the cost of Health Insurance and
Life Insurance.It gives you a stronger immune system which
reduces the risk of Cancers.It lowers the risk of mental disorders due to
the fact that you tap into those happy chemicals that your body naturally make.

What is Exercise?Exercise is a structured program of activity
geared toward achieving or maintaining physical fitness.
Being able to set up some kind of structured program which may consist of walking or running 3 days a week will be beneficial. As your body becomes use to this routine you will want to do more.
There are so many activities you can do that are fun such as Zumba, spinning, or aerobics and cardio, it can be fun and WILL be beneficial.
What is Physical Fitness?Physical activity is any body movement that
burns calories, including housecleaning or lawn maintenance as well as running and weight lifting.
