Six session class for third grade children and their parents

Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:30 a.m. September 20 — October 25

As your child learns to read, the best word around is the Bible! At Redeemer we don’t want to just give away new Bibles to our 3rd graders, we want them to be “used” Bibles by equipping the family to look at Scripture each and every day for guidance.

During this special event just for our 3rd graders and their parents (or another loving adult figure) you will walk through the Bible cover to cover, highlighting key Bible verses and learning to use God’s Word in your daily devotional life.

Questions? Give Deaconess Betty a call at 228-9883!

High School Bible Study — Sunday, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

High School Study Led by DCE Anna Dauffenbach

September 13 — Since this is the first day of Sunday School, but also DCE Anna’s installation day, we will not be having a typical Bible study. Come to Education Hour anyway and join us for bagels and coffee drinks with DCE Anna. September 20 — This infamous and beloved game is back...JEOPARDY! Bring your “A”-game and knowledge. Who knows what Anna has cooked up for you this time?! September 27 — For the next six weeks we will dive into a study called “LIVE—Jesus—Centered Life.” This study helps students to discover the real Jesus, answer-ing his question in Luke 9:20 — “Who do you say that I am?”

Sunday Morning Adult Study— 9:30 a.m. Adult Study Led by Pastor Steve and Pastor Chad

Noah — The Man, The Ark, The Flood

Five Week Study (September 13 — October 11)

Among the characters of the Old Testament, one sails above all the rest. Who else, more than five centuries old, engineers an ark and rides the stormy seas with his family and a boatload of God’s magnificent creatures? In Noah: The Man, The Ark, The Flood you’ll encounter a man of faith who believed — and obeyed — even when doing so seemed foolish.

Tuesday Evening Adult Study — 7:00 p.m. Adult Study led by Pastor Steve

Beginning: September 15 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Location: Room 1A & 1B (Northwest Corner)

The Book of Judges “Everyone did what is right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25). That verse sums up what was going on at the time of the Judges. It also may be used to sum up our world to-day. It is in this book that we really see the Gospel. When we read this Scripture as a recounting of how God works to rescue his people through and out of the mess their sin brings them into, then it comes alive to us in our own lives and situations today. Come and pull-up a chair as we study this difficult but essential book for living in our times.

Thursday Evening Adult Study — 7:00 p.m.

Adult Study Led by Mark Mankowski and Tom Buck

Beginning September 24 Meet in the church library for a study of God’s Word.

Page 7: A A — eptember 13, 2015 Welcome to worship at Redeemer!storage.cloversites.com/redeemerlutheranchurch1/documents/bulletin9-13-15.pdfSeptember 17, in the multi-purpose room, 4:30-5:30

Men’s Wednesday Study — 7:00 a.m. Led by Pastor Hulke

This study meets regularly for a quick donut, cof-fee and lively Bible discussion before heading off to work. Pastor Hulke guides the men through a study of the appointed lessons for the week. You can plan ahead by going to Redeemer’s web-site (www.RedeemerMQT.org) where the weekly lessons are posted on the worship page.

Women’s Wednesday Study — 9:30 a.m. Women’s Study Led by Deaconess Betty Knapp

Beginning September 16, 9:30 a.m.

Members and friends of Redeemer are invited to join Deaconess Betty for study each Wednesday morning.

“Feasts of the Bible” September 16 — Feast of Trumpets September 23 — Day of Atonement October 7 — Feast of Tabernacles

Throughout the Old Testament God’s redemptive plan is unveiled through the feasts of Israel. Through this study we will focus on the three main feasts which take place in the Fall.

“12 Women of the Bible” September 30 — Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene’s life is a story of transformation worth examining in more detail. Everyone has a story to tell — our story may not be like Mary’s but regardless of our past, our pain, our struggles, or our demons, Jesus has a plan for our future that is more glorious than we could possibly dream.
