Love Offering and Refreshments for Jena Meredith on June 2
Jena Meredith will be stepping down at the end of May as Director of
Children’s Ministries after 13 years. We have been blessed by the many
years of service she has provided and the great work she has done with our
kids. On 2 June, the SPRC will recognize Jena’s work by presenting a gift on
behalf of the church at both services. If you would like to contribute a love
offering for Jena, please do today. This gift is not tax deferrable so please
place a cash offering in an envelope marked “2019 Love Offering” and place
it in the offering plate. We will meet in the fellowship hall downstairs
between the two services on the 2nd for refreshments (Please bring a food
dish to share if you are able) and an opportunity to thank her for her
contribution to the mission and ministry of Mt. Zion.
Grace & Peace, Members of SPRC

Bible Study on 1st Thessalonians Continues. Join Pastor Dunnington
in looking at the first recorded piece of Christian biblical literature, Paul’s
first letter to the church at Thessalonica. Learn how the early Christians
were called to live as a new faith community in a Roman world, even as they
eagerly anticipated the full expression of God’s kingdom to break forth in
their lifetime. This 4 week study will be on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to
8:30 pm on May 16, 23, 30 and June 6.
Church Work Day Trustees are sponsoring a church workday from 8-12
am on June 22. There is a need for general cleaning indoors and light
maintenance both inside and out. Please contact a trustee if you can help and
discuss any supplies or tools that will be needed. We have a list to share.
