The Summer is moving on and it is hard to believe how the time flies. The end of June and into July we made another trip out west and back. This time to bring Jordan back this way after
completing his second year of pharmacy residency. Some have asked, why did he wind up so far away? The answer is that in the process of assigning residencies the one seeking is linked with a residency that offers the educational experience the resident is looking for. His option turned out to be in Portland, Oregon working for Kaiser Permanente in their health system. Now Jordan wants to be back this way and closer to family. For the time being he is living with us. As it turns out, it was awesome to see the country again, this time our trip included Colorado and Kansas. Last year we went through Nebraska for that portion of our trip. I am so thankful for God’s watch and care over us as Christopher and I were in the U-Haul and Denise and Jordan were in his car. Seeing the countryside and seeing town after town and cities where other people live just causes me to pause and give thanks. It’s amazing where some people live. In Wyoming, eastern Colorado and western Kansas there was
a lot of nothing
except for fields and tiny
towns.
Wyoming was a lot of rock with some grassy fields and roaming cattle (sometimes hundreds of the – “free range”). The extend of the views in some of the states were breathtaking and many times that was because there were no trees. Ohio is definitely a good place to live and we are happy in Mount Gilead! Again, we are glad to be home! I like trees. God bless, Pastor Jeff

Christians are like the several flowers in a garden, that have each of them the dew of heaven, which, being shaken with the wind, they let fall at each other’s roots, whereby they are jointly nourished, and become nourishers of each other. ~ John Bunyan
TUESDAY BIBLE STUDY AT SAMES & COOK 3:00-4:00 pm
The Sames and Cook Bible Study will be s tudying Rich in Things that Count the Most.
While we may or may not be wealthy when it comes to material things, James W. Moore says, every one of us can be rich in the things that count the most. True happiness, fulfillment, and wealth come from knowing that God is with us, and from being grateful for all of the blessings God has given us. Through Scripture and compelling stories of faith, the author invites us in this book to explore the real riches in our lives, those things that will last and endure, that won’t rust or corrode or become boring or go out of style.”
