8th Annual

Greetings and well wishes to all,

It's been a challenging year to organize, plan and produce great equestrian events with all the COVID-19 Guidelines and Restrictions to protect the health of our much loved Horse Show Family. We appreciate all the extra effort to maintain social distancing and wear masks.

The Wisconsin Equine Derby Weekend is going to look a little different this year. We hope you will enjoy a new clinic format that will give riders a chance to show a Judge their skills and receive constructive advice on how to improve their riding. Check our prize list descriptions to learn more.

Unfortunately, we have made the tough decision to cancel this year's Exhibitor Dinner, Auction and Teams Calcutta. The intention of these events is to so-cially interact and it just doesn't feel appropriate at this moment in time ... but have no fear this event will be back and better than ever!

You will see on the schedule, our amazing and gracious sponsors have provided us with complimentary lunches (Friday and Saturday) and Sunday Brunch. Sendik's will provide our food and drink needs during the horse show.

Our charitable causes: Healing Haven of Wisconsin, Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary and Danny and Ron's Rescue continue to need our support! Please join us in supporting them at the Silent Auction or through Fund –A-Need. Those opportunities will be posted at the show office! Together we make a big difference doing what we LOVE!

We CAN'T WAIT to see you in the NEW sandbox at Seoul Creek Farm!

Equitation Classic and Jumper Classes

Remembering Barbara Biever

Mrs. Barbara Biever was a lifelong horsewoman; she grew up with ranch horses on her parent's farm in Crivitz, WI. She genuinely loved horses (and ponies too!) Barbara especially enjoyed sharing her passion for horses with her daughter, Hel-en. Barbara was a fixture at the in gate any time Helen was showing. With her hus-band, Paul, they successfully ran the Milwaukee Spring Horse Show "A" for over 20 years. Barbara was instrumental in starting the Wisconsin Equestrian Center Hunter/Jumper show "B" in DePere WI, which earned the prestigious USHJA Members Choice Award in 2014. Barbara was a longtime supporter of the local member hunter/jumper circuit in WI and she has sponsored the Leadline Class at the WI Equine Derby Weekend since the very first year. She will be missed by all in the horse show world, but her memory will live on with this Memorial Equitation Classic and of course, the Leadline!

Barbara Biever Memorial Equitation Classic Open to all Juniors or Amateurs, no professionals. This class will be run at three fence heights 2' 2'6" and 3' and will be pinned together. The class will consist of 3 sections- over fences 50%, on the flat 30%, written horsemanship test 20%. Rib-bons 1-10. Entry Fee: $50.00 per horse/rider combination. Formal Attire Required. Jumps will consist of natural obstacles and traditional jumperjumps. No water obstacles will be used.

A ride for ribbons and presentation of awards will be held at the completion of each class. Riders MUST ride for ribbons. Formal Attire is REQUIRED. USEF Rule Book (JP111).
