Peace and Justice

by Augie Segger

Grade 2, St. Vincent de Paul School

Peace in my bedroom,

1 year ago (in 2008) I couldn’t get any peace to sleep

Because my (little) brother was too busy crying and whining!

Peace with my friends,

Everyone who is fast in my class makes fun of me

If only I could be fast

They give me high-fives, but say “too slow”

If only I could be fast!

PROBLEMS SOLVED!!

My (little) brother doesn’t cry anymore!

I’m still slow, but my friends don’t tease me anymore!
