Beatrix products are sold around the world at hundreds of high-end boutiques and department stores. The brand has become a favorite of celebrity parents. David & Victoria Beckham, Halle Berry, Katie Holmes, Britney Spears, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Meg Ryan, and Tobey Maguire are just some of the celebrities who have bought Beatrix products for their children.

Beatrix was founded in 2008 by Claire Theobald and Marcus Woolcott. Claire is a mother of twins and has masters degrees in both graphic design and architecture from Yale. Marcus is an award winning creative director who has worked for advertising agencies in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

Percival. A strictlow-carb diet has kept himlooking young and trim, but

Percival is actually one of ouroldest employees. He’s been

around since the Cretaceous Period, which was over60 million years ago. He’s lucky because he’s had lots and lots

of birthday parties. Unfortunately, his parties have become a logistical nightmare because of the immense number of

candles needed for his cake.

Penelope loves to explore. She’salways off investigating new cavesand crevices in the reef and comingback with odd little objects to showeveryone. Our other employeesare amazed by herability to squeeze througheven the tiniest holes.But as she explains tothem, she has eight armsand no bones so she’sextremely flexible.When she’s not outexploring you can findPenelope at the local gymteaching yoga.

Papar is very fond of gettingher way, in fact she insists onit. And her demands can bequite specific. She wants hertree to have blossoms andleaves, but no pointy twigs.She needs to have a highbranch with a good view,but it mustn’t be toodrafty. She requiresat least eight hours of sleep,and absolutely must not be woken up before 5pm (she’s a night owl). If she gets what she wants, she’s one of our nicest employees, but if she’s denied...out come the claws!

Alexander. Most robots justwaddle about on mechanical legs

or roll around on caterpillar tracks, butAlexander was built with rockets so he

can soar through the sky! To be honest though, he hasn’tactually soared much higher than 3 feet so far (he’s more of a hoverer really). But he’s just being cautious. Flying takes a lot of practice. If you do it wrong you can give yourself a pretty nasty dent. He’ll be rocketing through the clouds soon, but as every-

one is always telling him; you’ve got to hover before you can fly.
