• In 1942, V2 Rocket became the first man made object launched into space.

• It was developed by German scientist Wernher Von Bran during World War 2

• Von Bran help develop the US Space program

• Russian put the first satellite Sputnik 1 in 1957

• Russian put the first dog (Liaka) into space in 1957

• Russian put the first man (Yuri Gagarin) in space in 1961
