The 3D surveys or models of the roof framing are necessary for different purposes: obtaining construction/ demolition permits, restoration or preservation of existing constructions . A detailed examination of its condition was required for the project of restoration and preservation of the fortified church of the commune of Merghindeal, built in the 8 th century. In such context, an accurate copy of the framework was required.
