Празник Христа Чоловіколюбця Культ Христового Серця в нашій Церкві

Богослуження нашої Східньої Церкви відзначаються глибоким культом Божої Любови і Милосердя. Відправи середи й п'ятниці повні сердечного почитання і пієтизму до хресного дерева, Христових мук, ран та його пробитого боку. Тут почитаються Христових страждань. Тут часто згадуються муки й болі серця Пресв. Богородиці на вид її розп'ятого Сина. На стихирах вечірні вівтірка 4-го гласа читаємо: "Оспівуємо Твої страждання, Владико Христе, хрест, копіє і тростину, губку і цвяхи, бичування, багряницю і вінець з терня, оплювання і насмішки, що їх Ти добровільно перетерпів". "Ти на хресті пригвоздився — каже стихира вечірні вівтірка 8-го гласа — проколений на руках і ногах та пробитий у святе ребро, істочаєш мені каплі божественного спасіння, Преблагий..." Наш Слуга Божий митрополит Андрій, великий знавець і любитель східнього обряду, у своїх пастирських листах часто говорить про Божу любов. Він так був перенятий тією любов'ю, що не уважав, щоб почитання Божої Любови у виді Пресв. Христового Серця було незгідне з духом і практикою нашого обряду, тому його ревно поручав. В часі Львівського Архиєпархіяльного Собору в 1940 р. він предложив осібний декрет про Культ Христової Любови. Тут на основі Св. Письма він змальовує безконечну любов Ісуса Христа до нас людей. "Постать Христа, — каже він — начеркнена Євангелистами та Апостолами, така світла, така висока, що й змагання довгих століть та цілого людства не вичерпають пізнання Того, що в Ньому "мешкає повнота Божества тілесного" (Колос. 2, 9)... І хрест і жертва і пресв. рани в руках, ногах і з боку й рани тернового вінця і Пресв. Кров, що так обильно проливається на цілий світ, .— все те предмети Богопочитання".

The Nicene Creed-Symbol of our Catholic Faith-Part 1 The Nicene Creed is the symbol of faith for Christians of most denominations. It is also called the Nicene -Contantinopolitan Creed, because the complete form of the Creed was defined by bishops at the Councils of Nicea 325AD, and Constantinople 381 AD. The Nicene Creed explains the Church's teaching about the Trinity, but also affirms the historical realities of Jesus' life, based on biblical concepts and truth. We say the Creed at every Divine Liturgy and Baptism. I believe in One God-Christians, like Jews and Muslims, believe that only one God exists. The Creed states the assumption of the ancient Shema: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord, our God is One Lord.' Some English translations of the Creed begin with 'We believe', while the Latin, Greek, and current English translation begin with 'I believe', which is more accurate. Reciting the Creed is our individual confession of faith of the collective beliefs of the Church. The Father Almighty-Jesus frequently calls God "Father" in the Scriptures, and this usage tells us that God is a loving God active within His creation. God the Father is the first person (Greek-hypostasis, individual reality), or distinction, within the Godhead. The father is the 'arche', 'origin, or 'source' of the Trinity. As such, God the Father is often called 'God Unbegotten' in early Christian thought. Maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen-God created the visible world (created matter) and the invisible world (spiritual world of angels, etc). Thus, God created everything. Some early sects such as the Gnostics and Marcionites, believed that God the Father created the spirit world, but that an evil god called the 'dimurge' created the similarly evil material world. The Creed dispels such a notion.

With Summer days upon us, the tendency to cool and casual attire is understandable but, attire at Sunday Divine Liturgy should always reflect our dignity as Christian people.
