Advocacy - A fundamental activity of the Chamber is to develop and implement policy on major issues affecting our members. Key to this effort is the work of committees, task forces, and councils involving member organizations and the academic community who serve voluntarily.

Business Referrals - When asked to supply names of business/services in our area, our staff only offers those businesses and organizations that are members of the Chamber.

Chamber Decal/Recognition – Business members receive a window decal identifying their business as an active member of the Chamber. New members and their businesses are introduced at Chamber events.

Committees, Councils & Task Forces – What better way to become involved than to serve on a council, committee or task force? By joining these groups you can be the change you wish to see in the community by providing insight and guidance to the Chamber.

Community Involvement – Volunteering for Chamber committees gives members the opportunity to study community needs in-depth and find solutions to concerns in the business community.

Continuing Education Opportunities – The Chamber hosts many seminars and events including Lunch & Learns, Membership Luncheons and more focused on a variety of topics including social media, government, transportation, and diverse roundtables.

About Us

The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber was founded in 2009 by a group of interested business people as the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce. Though our name has changed, the original founding goals remain the same; promote economic development, education, leadership and advocacy.

Thoughout its history the organization has been housed in four locations throughout the City, it remains governed by a volunteer board of directors, and has grown in size and scope.

Today, the Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber still serves as the unified voice of our members and business community helping to stimulate a favorable business climate and advocate for progressive economic development in the region while providing great return on investment for our members.

With its unique programs, the Chamber creates a climate of success in which all companies, regardless of size, can prosper. Our members’ engagement in Chamber initiatives is key to

developing our local economy and collective voice.

Affiliations

The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCIDs), representing both the Central (DeKalb) and Fulton Perimeter

CIDs, are self-taxing districts that use additional property taxes to help accelerate needed transportation and infrastructure improvement projects. The PCIDs are leading the charge to implement vital transportation enhancements coupled with

land use and zoning strategies that will enhance mobility and improve access to the Perimeter activity center.

The mission of Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (GACCE) is engaging, educating, and empowering

chamber professionals.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business organization representing the interests of more than 3 million

businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. Our members range from mom-and-pop shops and local chambers to leading

industry associations and large corporations. They all share one thing--they count on the Chamber to be their voice in

Washington, D.C.

The State’s largest business advocacy organization, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce represents a diverse

cross-section of industry and commerce.

The Perimeter Business Alliance (PBA), a partner of the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts. The PBAs focus is on issues that directly impact business bottom-lines as well as attracting and sustaining a quality workforce and quality businesses that

will continue to strengthen the Perimeter market.

The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber is a member of five (5) major organizations designed to provide specialized service to the Chamber.

Discounted Event Rates for Members – All Chamber events are open to the public, howev-er members receive greatly discounted rates.

Economic Development - Your investment in the Chamber helps make economic devel-opment thrive in our community. For both small and large businesses to develop, our eco-nomic development efforts must be successful. Your support of the Chamber helps make the community grow and subsequently businesses expand and new jobs are created which guarantees the continued vitality of Dunwoody.

Experienced Staff - Experienced, well qualified staff will assist with your needs, questions, and concerns.

Hosting Events – As we support our members we only host events at member locations! Please note events and locations are scheduled well in advance.

Membership Directory - Members can request a digital listing of all Chamber members which includes: organization name, main contact name, mailing address, phone and fax numbers. Please allow 48 hours to process.

Membership Matters – This publication is a weekly membership focused digital newsletter that goes to over 1,000 persons every Thursday. All members are encouraged to submit information for free!

Networking – Our calendar of events offers many opportunities to network with other members of the Chamber.

Patron Sponsorship - This program provides recognition and additional value for those members investing in the Chamber at a level significantly above the dues schedule. Please contact the Chamber at 678.244.9700 for detailed information.

Ribbon Cuttings & Groundbreakings PDF - A ribbon cutting is the ceremonial opening of a new or newly-renovated/relocated business. It can launch a business’s first day of business or it can take place after the business’s opening

Stamp of Origin – The Chamber stamp's certificates of origin for member companies on a scheduled basis. As documents are required to be stamped by certain personal, appointments are requested.

Tax Deduction - Chamber investment may be deductible as a necessary business expense. Please check with your accountant.

GA Chamber Federation - Through a partnership between the Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, you will receive complimentary membership into the Georgia Chamber. This benefit is available at no additional cost to you; it is complimentary through your yearly local chamber membership investment.

US Chamber Federation Partnership - Through our partnership with the U.S. Chamber, the Dun-woody Perimeter Chamber provides small business members with resources, information, advocacy, and savings.

Georgia Trend Magazine - Members in good standing receive a free subscription.

Staples Advantage - The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber in collaboration with the Georgia Chamber offers this program to reduce costs for members resulting in saveings up to 30% on the supplies you are already purchasing!

Drugs Don’t Work - is a program designed to strengthen the Dunwoody business climate by reducing worker compensation costs. This is accomplished through Dunwoody businesses becom-ing certified drug-free workplaces, which then allows them to qualify for a 7.5% discount on their worker’s compensation insurance.
