All four meeting that season were atthe Liberty Baseball Stadium. The Flames won all four meetings.• Charleston Southern and Liberty will meet for the fi rst time in Charleston, S.C. since 2010, thisweekend. The Flames swept the three-game series, May 7-9.• Head Coach Stuart Lake is in his seventh year at Charleston Southern. The Buccaneers are 146-215 under his leadership. Close Named Big South Player of the Week• Senior Alex Close was named the Big South Player of the Weekfor March 22-29.

• The fi rst baseman hit .500 (10-for-20) with two home runs, nineRBI and seven runs scored in fi ve games last week. He recorded three doubles.• Close collected a hit in each of Liberty’s fi ve contests, including four multi-hit games.

• The 2015 Big South Preseason Player of the Year started theweek with two hits, a double, a run scored and a walk againstDuke. The following afternoon against No. 12 Virginia, the fi rstbaseman collected three hits, two RBI and scored a run.

• In a three-game series against Presbyterian this past weekend, Close batted .385 with seven RBI and fi ve runs scored.

• Friday, he tied a career high with six RBI, hitting two homeruns, one a grand slam, in a 9-5 win. Saturday, he had a RBI

double in a 4-1 victory and Sunday, he had two hits and scored three runs in a 9-3 Flames’ win.
