Ethnicraft is a furniture manufacturing company head quartered in Belgium with sales office located in Singapore and Indonesia. Solid wood (teak, oak and walnut) is the core of the Ethnicraft collection. Ethnicraft produces furniture with simplicity, authenticity in a timeless and innovative contemporary collection.

Ethnicraft has four factories worldwide. Teak collections are manufactured in Indonesia. Ethnicraft’s teak comes from 2 main sources – recycled timber from neglected buildings or warehouses and from an Indonesian government body in charge of managing the teak plantations. The teak tree that Ethnicraft uses in production ranges from 30 to 40 years old with an average growth of 1 cm per year. Ethnicraft’s Oak and Walnut collections are produced in Vietnam with European Oak and American Walnut from well managed forests.

Established in 1994, DOIMO is currently an Italian-Brazilian joint venture located in the city of Ribeirao das Neves, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Their furniture is designed and developed with beauty, functionality and simplicity in mind.

The company has it is own design and product development department and works closely together with Italian architect Marcelo Ligieri, who is responsible for designing most of their collections. DOIMO furniture is therefore recognizable and transmits an original look and feel.

Mescla is a furniture design company established in 2006 by Brazilian designer Carla Botosso. Mescla specializes in innovative techniques and exclusive design products with a touch of humour in colour and shape. Mescla aims at preserving the essence of craft tradition and dedication, which is associated with handmade products, in its industrial designs with focus on high quality.

Supported by Danida and Mescla, local women in Mozambique learn the necessary professional skills that enable them to provide for themselves and their families.

Carla Botosso graduated from the Institute of Product Design at The Danish School of Design in Denmark.
