The Symphony from the Kromskis. Just the image you would expect a spinning wheel to take. You can picture the "ladies in waiting" gathered together in the castle spinning as a group, all on The Symphony. The Minstrel a new spinning wheel from the Kromskis of Poland, is going to set new standards for castle style wheels. It features a wide, steady base for the double treadle operation and the wheel, which is larger than many upright wheels - 18". The wheel is easy to mount on the two support posts. The third post will mount an optional distaff. Larger than the Kromski Mazurka, The Minstrel has stronger, bolder lines and a larger base to accommodate the larger wheel diameter and the double treadles. The Prelude: The Prelude, the newest spinning wheel from the Kromskis of Poland. The Prelude is just the wheel for beginners or perhaps a second Kromski wheel for others. It has the look of an antique wheel and the high degree of wood turning that the Kromskis are famous for, but it also has all the touches modern spinners expect. The Prelude is a single drive wheel; a first for the Kromskis. The good news here is that it uses the same bobbins as all the other Kromski wheels. This means that, as you consider adding a second or third Kromski wheel, you know your bobbins will work with all the different models. The Prelude is easy to treadle, easy to transport, and has an 18" diameter wheel (same as the Kromski Minstrel) for excellent ratios. If you like, you can swivel the mother-of-all in line with the bench for a more compact "package" when moving the wheel or for storage. The Prelude is made of European alder and birch. The newest of the Kromski collection. Yes, a thoroughly modern wheel in every aspect but the concept and design are obviously Kromski. What is not obvious is a new single drive flyer design. Louet Julia

Double Treadle, Scotch Tension $699.00 The best way to describe this wheel is a Victoria version of the S51DT. Bobbins, flyer and the Scotch tension are the same as on the Victoria. There are four ratios, which are: 1:6, 1:8.5, 1:12.5, 1:19. An optional high speed set, which is also the same set as the Victoria uses, provides an extra 1:27 ratio and make it easier to treadle the 1:19 on the Julia. A removable insert provides two orifice sizes (12mm and 8mm). All rotating parts run on ball bearings for smooth operation, while the unit itself is constructed out of beech and birch plywood, smoothly lacquered. The stand-alone Lazy Kate comes with an adjustable brake for the three bobbins it holds. Wheels are made of laminated hardwood with a "birch" exterior finish. The base with treadles can be easily disassembled from the upright with the main wheel (unit does not fold) for easy transportation.

Majacraft Aura

The Aura is here! A new way of looking at double drives and a new way of looking at spinning. This wheel is a collaboration between Majacraft and the very accomplished spinner, Lexi Boeger – aka “PluckyFluff”.

Designed from the ground up, the Aura has a new style and presence while still retaining the classic Majacraft look. It has two independent drive bands, one for the flyer and a second for the bobbin.

The flyer drive has three

different ratios and the bobbin drive has two ratios plus infinite adjustment.



Being so unique, the Aura requires new thinking about spinning and expressing your creativity. The potential is huge and when you are ready to explore everything that can be achieved in spinning then the time has come to spend some time with an Aura.

The flyer is all new and builds on the advances Majacraft has made in the past. It shares the aerodynamic shape of recently introduced on all other flyers for efficient and easy spinning. Most importantly it has a new dual function orifice. Fine yarns can be held still in the delta part of the orifice. This also has the function of holding coil yarns very still so you can observe your work. You can bypass the delta and use the large halo ring for spinning huge. With the new double drive, the Aura can spin anything that can be pulled through this orifice!

The new folding handle design has the grip in a new location and special bumpers on the handle to keep the spinning head away from the pedals when you fold it down. SCHACHT ”Matchless” (hard maple) Considered by many to be the Cadillac of wheels. The main frame of this wheel is made from thin laminated layers of Eastern hard rock maple (about 18 layers!) and a single layer of American black walnut. This is a modern, well balanced, very versatile wheel with optional ratios all the way from a super slow 4:1 (for beginner’s & thick loose plying) to an exceptionally fast ratio of 271/2:1 (for lace type spinning). Standard ratio’s are 9:1, 11:1, 13:1, 15.5:1. Includes a tensioned lazy kate & 4 bobbins.
