Urban Ecology Center Summer Camps are
definitely fun, but there’s so much more to it than that.
Summer Camp helps your child build self esteem, outdoor
skills and ecological intelligence. Campers make new
friends as they explore the natural world together.
The same professional environmental educators that teach our school programs are ready to engage
your kids in topics and activities that interest them.
With one staff per 6 campers, your child is assured a
personal, inclusive experience at camp.
Research shows that two things make a person
environmentally aware: consistent contact with
nature early in life and an adult mentor (parent, teacher,
friend, Urban Ecology Center educator) who demonstrates
positive behavior toward the environment. Think of
summer camp as the first step toward a greener future.
But enough with the serious stuff, your
kids are really here for the fun! Rock climbing, science
experiments, art projects, gardening -- playing in dirt
and water -- that’s what your children will remember.
We’ll keep it between us that summer camp will help
them be better prepared for school in the fall.
How to register
Camps fill quickly. Your child’s spot will be reserved on a first come, first served basis once payment or scholarship information is received. If your choice of camp/session is full, we will notify you. You can choose a diferent session or we can put your name on our waiting list.
Camp prices are determined, in part, by the duration of the session. Look for our 4-day and 2-day camps if you’re seeking a more affordable option.
