Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio.

I have put this together to show a small selection of the incredible projects I have been privileged enough to work

on over the last six years across the world.

To make viewing simple, I have grouped together three defined facets to the live communications industry which

I have specialised in across this period of time. Each project sits under one of the following areas: brand experiences,

exhibitions or live events.

Delivery - December 2009

One out of nine medium sized permanent installations I have worked on for this client. Of the nine projects I worked on, this was one of the mid-sized projects and all elements were

controlled and delivered by me from concept development through to final execution and handover.

The brief was to bring the building alive and turn it from a carcass into a lively and fun environment which carried the twofour54 brand values across to a variety of groups including

day to day production staff, visiting VIP’s, celebrities and TV presenters. Additionally all decor had to address the requirement for directional and functional yet aesthetic way-finding signage

across the campus both interior and exterior.

The total delivery budget approached $500’000 encompassing furniture (from off the shelf bar stools and custom designed and built soft furnishings to outdoor seating) graphics, dressing and canvases, paint finishes, lighting, reception desks and back wall in addition to “surprising

and delightful” features to create a unique environment.

The volume of work addressed three Large TV studios and associated control rooms, ten post production suites, ten editing suites, eight dressing rooms, make up rooms, lift bays, corridors,

car park areas, green rooms and much more across the 30’000sq meter facility.

Sky 3D TV - Product LaunchLocation - London, United Kingdom.

Delivery - July 2010

Development, build, initial delivery and roll-out of a brand experience for the product launch

of Sky 3D TV over broadcast

$1’000’000 budget project management, I managed suppliers and design co-ordination, structural engineers plus all surrounding health and safety, on site delivery requirements and

team management for the build of a giant temporary structure in the shape of a mirrored “prism” (see portfolio) at the Chiswick House festival in London’s Chiswick park.

The success of this project led to the same structure subsequently being re-used several times over a 6 month period UK including The Big Chill, Latitude and 80’s Rewind Festival. General

feedback was excellent.

Challenges included transportation of a 6 tonne structure on to an English Heritage site and installation within 48 hours plus the requirement for exceptional AV reproduction in a structure

with internally cantilevered sound deadened walls in a festival environment.

Head of Graphics on the exhibition stand for a telecommunications client – du®

650sqm double deck stand first used at the MECOM exhibition in Abu Dhabi A.D.N.E.C centre with revisions to specific elements for its second outing at GITEX in Dubai World Trade Centre’s

D.I.C.E.C exhibition centre.

Approximately $100’000 worth of various graphic applications (as part of an overall budget of

around $1.4million) including printed and cast vinyl, frosting, cut-outs and electric halo lit logos amongst other mediums.

Project managed delivery including scheduling, graphics budget management of designers,

art-workers, print house process, on-site delivery and de-rig

Ericsson RoadshowLocation - Lahore and Islamabad, Pakistan

Delivery - November 2008

Project management for this project included most regular management elements: budget,

stand construction,, Audio Visual, tech and graphics plus the challenge of international shipping and logistics

Construction in the UAE followed by shipping to Pakistan for delivery in two locations: The Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore and The Marriott in Islamabad.

On site management of local construction crew in both locations to ensure delivery ran smoothly

Q.E II state visit Shakira concert, new years eve - “ the magenta majlis”


Queen Elizabeth II state visit: UAELocation - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates


The royal state visit for HRH Queen Elizabeth II to the United Arab Emirates. consisted of seven events spread over a period of twenty-four hours. Other VVIP’s in attendance included HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prince Philip

and Prince Andrew. The purpose of visit included the signing of three treaty’s and the unveiling of the Sheikh Zayed National Museum

Management and delivery of all aspects of transportation: Coordination of 80 traffic marshals over a spread area and transport route of three kilometres with the purpose of transporting over 4’000 guests through security screening and on to two separate secured event

ground locations.

Management of 57 buses over a period of 3 days: All buses had been bomb swept by Emiri Guard and prompt arrival at transportation point to

move all guests within a period of 3 hours. Coordination for this involved liaison with senior members of Abu Dhabi department of transport, The Emiri Guard, The Abu Dhabi Police, Emirates Palace and The Abu Dhabi Marina Mall.

Management and delivery of all aspects of repro-graphics, street décor and road signage and logistics: Over 900 flags of various types and

designs spread over 4 sq km in the city of Abu Dhabi. Several large format graphics both indoor and outdoor in nature spread over 6 temporary structures in various applications, management of all processes from concept and artworking through to delivery and installation adhesive vinyl,

banners, print on acrylic

Site management in event space. Three week build period consisting of: Two large temporary marquees over 800sq meters each. Five small

marquees (F&B, utilities etc) public toilets. Six large custom built temporary structures each with their own build type, materials and finish varying from public seating grand stands to a standalone “model experience” . Associated power, waste and water requirements, crew management, 24

hour build schedules, coordination with security and occasional client interface.

Overall feedback was excellent with the client offering an ecstatic review and congratulations to the entire team. The media coverage was also

phenomenal hitting as far as The Washington Post, the New York Times and The Telegraph, with TV Networks including the BBC, CNN, Sky and CNBC all broadcasting the coverage of the events across the globe.

Delivery - December 2008 / January 2009

The client (du®) sponsored the Shakira Concert which was scheduled to take place at The Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi for the new years eve celebrations leading 2008 into 2009.

The “Magenta Majlis” was conceptualised as a mechanism fitting into the overall marketing aims for the client as a route to own the platform of music within the telecoms industry in the United Arab Emirates.

The space was adjacent to the main grandstand and whilst tickets for the concert could be bought, the Magenta Majlis was strictly via invitation only.

Project Management and on site production included the delivery of graphics, lightboxes, custom audio visual content, two bars with catering, lighting (colour matched to the clients magenta branding), florals ‘

and all furniture and carpets in white.

As with many other projects, I covered the entire production from start to finish with budgetary responsibility, pre-production across all aspects, logistics, on site delivery and de-rig.

UAE Louvre Museum LaunchLocation - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates


With the worlds press observing the event held at the most expensive and luxurious hotel on earth, HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin-Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Nicolas Sarkozy, President

of France gave a glimpse into some of the artwork which will be contained in the Louvre Abu Dhabi on completion in celebration for the commencement of the construction of the gallery.

Held at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, I was responsible for the delivery of the graphics and way

finding throughout the venue in addition to project managing the delivery (both pre-production and on site) for the media centre.

Technology in the media centre with a live camera feed from the upstairs ballroom directly into the media centre on four large LCD screens, additionally containing 25 networked computers with

printing, copying and fax facilities
