The Chamber’s Annual Golf Classic is a great day of networking and golf out on the course. The event, which consists of 144 players, also includes an awards luncheon following the tournament. Candidate Forums | HELD AS NEEDED FOR UPCOMING ELECTIONS
Legislative Day | APRIL
Advocacy Day | FEBRUARY/MARCH
The Lee’s Summit Chamber hosts Candidate Forums on an as-needed basis before local municipal elections, as well as general elections. These events give the public an opportunity to meet the candidates and also hear their positions on certain issues so they can make an educated vote.
Each year, the Chamber hops on the Amtrak for a full day in Jefferson City where members can meet with legislators and state officials, tour the State Capitol, Governor’s Mansion and Supreme Court, and network with other members.
Members of the Chamber’s Legislative and Governmental Relations committees, as well as the board of directors, are invited to join other local chamber organizations for a day of advocacy in Jefferson City. Attendees meet with legislators and committee chairs to discuss important topics such as education, economic development, transportation and health care.
