A commission must be set up to oversee what changes must be brought about in police training, how cops respond to situ- ations like these and also to look at how various gadgets such as drones and CCTVs can be used for quick action." While she was CM, Dikshit has raised the issue of Delhi Police not being under the state government's control on various occasions to justi- fy a worsening law and order condition in the city. In fact, Kejriwal had slammed her government for its "constant excuses". AAP will be meeting com- missioner BS Bassi at the Delhi Secretariat . The CM said: "Residents are extremely frightened. They say they can't approach the police per- sonnel patrolling their area at all. If the Centre can't handle the police, we urge them to give them to us. We will ensure that justice is delivered." At the opening of a mohalla clinic on Sunday, the CM raised the pitch for Delhi Police's transfer to state control saying that the PM has to run the entire country and should hand over operations to the state government. Meanwhile, Bassi claimed that there were miscon- ceptions regarding the police force and he would try and dispel them in his meeting with the CM. "Maybe the CM is able to give a useful suggestion for the police force. Maybe I will give him some information about the kind of policing we do at the department," he said.
