Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe ISBN: 9780486440286 (Dover Thrift Editions) A hard copy (no electronic copies) of the text must be purchased. As you read, annotate your book (see attached annotation guidelines), paying special attention to the directed reading questions below. Students will take an objective quiz over the content of the book on the second day of class. During the first few weeks of class, we will engage in various graded activities related to the novel. Directed Reading Questions As you read through this novel, consider the following questions. These questions are to help you pick up on major events and themes throughout the book. You are to choose 50 out of the 100 questions to answer and turn in on the first day of class. Each answer should be at least one complete sentence. You must answer question number 100. Ch. 1 1.
