What will the writing assessment be like?

• Every student in the state will have to write on the same topic

• Every student will have to finish their writing sample in one sitting

• The prompts are very general (don’t worry that you will not know enough about a subject to answer the prompt)

What will the writing assessment be like?

You will be given very clear instructions about what you are to write.

You will then be given AS MUCH TIME AS YOU NEED to respond.

If you are still writing after the testing time is passed, you will be taken to another location and given the time you need to finish.
