Transition 2009-2010 and on– Program sponsors prepare new program documents; may begin updating courses based on new standards
December 31, 2011 – Programs not approved under revised Bilingual Program Standards (2008) are no longer approved preparation programs

Important Details Candidates should complete program by 12/31/11 IHE could submit online recommend after this
date as long as the requested issuance date for document is no later than 12/31/11
If extenuating circumstances will not allow completion by 12/31/11, IHE must submit a ‘lock list’ of those candidates to PSD.
