7. What were the mysterious things that took place in the stranger’s room?As soon as Mr and Mrs Hall entered the stranger’s room the bed-clothes gathered and suddenly took a leap together as a peak and jumped head long over the bottom rail. It looked like somebody held them in the centre and threw them apart. Soon the stranger’s hat hopped off the bed-post and whirling in the air to hit Mrs Hall’s face. Then came the sponge from the washstand, followed by the chairs flying, throwing the stranger’s coat and trousers carelessly along with a laughing voice of the stranger.
