LED Forum re-established in November 2012 Set dates for future meetings i.e next date is 17

May 2013 Availability of TOR Representation of stakeholders (LMs, Business

Sector & Government departments). Sharing of LED Framework document with

Forum members Availability of LED Plans i.e LED Benchmarking

Report & Implementation Plan – To be adopted by the Council

One on one meetings with LED Forum stakeholders

Poor attendance by some LMs Lack of sufficient human resources and budget District LED Strategy needs to be reviewed

CHALLENGES

Continuous support financially and technical to implement projects & sustainability of the Forum

Reviewing of the District LED strategy Establishment of Development Agency to fast

track Agricultural Development & Fresh Produce Market

Better alignment of LED Local, District, Province and National Plans

Implement BR & E Programme across sectors and the District
