Protect your Environment:
Many resources are nonrenewable, so, we should protect them.
Conservation is saving resources by using them wisely.
Ways to protect the Environment:
1. Conserving resources 2. Preventing pollution 3. Cleaning up pollution
Reduce Reduce: To use less of a
resource.
Examples: 1) Use less water by taking
showers instead of bath.
2) Use less electricity by turning the TV off when you are not watching it, and by turning off lights.
Reuse Reuse: To use a resource again and again. Benefits of reusing: a) helps reduce the amount of resources
that would be needed to make new things.
b) saves people money.
Examples: 1) Wear clothes that no longer fit my older
brother or sister.
2) Fixing toys when broken instead of buying new ones.
Recycle Recycle: To reuse a resource by
breaking it down and using it to make a new product.
Paper, glass, aluminum from cans, and some plastics can be recycled.
Examples of recycled materials: 1) Paper that is recycled can be
used to make cards, paper towels, and newspaper.
2) Plastic that is recycled can be used to make park benches and doormats.
