AW‘2014/15

The fall / winter collection reflects the spirit of "Modern Glam". The looks are clean chic, classy and sporty

elegant. A collection for women who wants to relax and simply feel good.

As a topic theme, we present the exceptional Pearl Glam print. This print was especially developed for Zimmerli

and shows the natural shades of shells in their boundless abundance of color. Out of this we’ve selected the

solid colors Rose Dust / Toffee / Dark Shadow / Arctic Ice / Bossa Nova.

Fine Wool & Silk blends, sandwashed silk, cotton sateen, Swiss-Voile sateen, Lyocell, Micro Modal and merc.

cotton, are the material highlights for the upcoming winter season.

All series can be wonderfully combined with each other and offer retailers the opportunity to assert individually

in our collection.

- New for the upcoming winter season collection we present the "Fashion Basic" colors.

- The goal of the collection: to surprise the basic loyal customer with current seasonal colors in their favorite

- 3 Basic series in seasonal colors are shown for the winter 2014/15.

- Only produced once, it has as long as on stock.

Inkjet or "Direct to Garment“ print.

With an inkjet printer connected to the PC for specific (usually water -based) pigment inks which are printed

directly onto the fabric and then permanently fixed with heat. The hand is pleasantly soft to the touch and has a

good laundry resistance, bright colors and high details.

The Rainbow-technology is based on a treatment which fundamentally changes the dyestuff absorption of the

fiber, so that it dyes in a much deeper shade. By blending Rainbow treated and untreated fibers, mélange yarns

are produced which can be dyed in any desired color in a simple process. Depending on the production flow,

the yarn, the knitted/woven fabric or the garment can be dyed.

Sandwash process, very roughly, is a finishing process, fabric is treated with water and mechanical force in

tumbler like special machines. Machines are specially developed for silk, so it is much more gentle than denim

washing machines. Maximum fabric lentght is 15-20mts per piece and maximum 4 or 5 pieces can be put in a

machine. Process takes 8 hours. Every batch may have slightly difference so every batch considered as one lot.

After sandwashing process fabric is dryed by tumbler dryers and rolled. It is 100% organic process, there are

chemical or auxilaries used, only water and mechanical affect.

What means «Sandwash» finishing ?

- Ecological quality, 100% eucalyptus wood. Requires 20 x less water in the production than cotton!

- TENCEL® is the functional fiber from nature. It is of botanic origin, since it is extracted from the raw material

wood. Fiber production itself is extremely eco-friendly, due to the closed loop system. On the day that

TENCEL® was invented, a new chapter was written in the history of fibers. Textiles of TENCEL® are more

absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.

- Compared to synthetic fibers, the optimum moisture transportation of TENCEL® is unique. The fibril structure

of the fiber helps create an optimal skin climate due to the superior moisture absorption. Synthetic fibers do not

absorb any moisture as the comparison shows.

- With TENCEL® the formation of bacteria is reduced. Moisture is immediately transported into the inside of the

fiber. Thus, no moisture film which can sustain bacterial growth, forms on the fiber.

- The study evaluates all the environmental impacts in the course of extracting the fiber and arrives at the

conclusion that cotton’s toxic impact on fresh water and soil is enormous in comparison to TENCEL®. Another

ecological advantage of TENCEL® is that the raw material wood, stems from forest plantations which practice

sustainability. The cultivated forest land is not suitable for agriculture. On the contrary cotton uses productive

agricultural land, which means it is competing with food production. Moreover, water consumption is 10 – 20

times lower than with cotton.

- The production of TENCEL® is revolutionary. The production process is based on a solvent spinning process

which represents the greatest achievement in cellulose fiber technology. The unique closed loop process

makes TENCEL® the fiber of the future since the solvent used is recycled by almost 100% in the closed loop

process. This special process received the “European Award for the Environment” from the European Union.
