Our Experience
Our group chose the Wichita Women’s Crisis Center as a great agency supporting Women recovering or currently experiencing domestic violence. On October 31 we as a group ( Tenishea, Brittany, Georgia, Bintou) visited Jessica B who is one of the counselors for the YWCA. During the visit she informed us on the services provided, the accommodations of the facility, outside resources, and statistics on the women served through agency. After the Visit we as a group understood the severity of the services provided and felt inspired to donate clothing, food, and personal supplies to the Treasure Chest Thrift Store. This experience was truthfully a heartfelt opportunity which made us more aware of the domestic Violence issues in our community
