• Following the show, a few minutes will be designated for photos and then all dancers and audience members are asked to leave so we can clean and prep for following show.

• No food or drink (except water) may be consumed while in costumes. • For females, no undergarments need to be worn under tights. All tap shoe strings should be

Recital Schedule & Ticketing Limitations We are thankful to be able to present a Recital this year, but not at the volume of our typical shows. To be completely transparent with our process for Recital planning this year…

In order to stay under current capacity mandates, our audience will be at 60% capacity which is about 90 seats. Allowing 3 tickets per dancer in each show, only allows us 30 dancers to be in each show. To fit in 105 routines across 4 days with those limitations, we have 11 shows this year! Each show is approximately 8-12 routines in length, which is ⅓ of the length for our normal shows. In order to make the puzzle work, some dancers will be performing in multiple shows throughout the weekend.

It’s not ideal, and we hope to return to our “normal” Recital next season, but we are grateful to see your dancers perform on stage this year!!

TICKETS At this time, we are allowing 3 tickets per dancer per show. Tickets will be purchased to accommodate social distancing and seating as “pods” for each dancer’s guests. We are beginning ticket sales Wednesday, May 19th at 8:00am: http://21605.recitalticketing.com. They will continue to be sold online up until June 2nd at 11:59pm. Tickets are $6 each. Everybody in the audience will need to purchase a ticket, with the exception of children under age 2. Dancers do not need a ticket as they will remain in the dressing rooms for the duration of the show. We will NOT be selling tickets at the door. If you have any trouble with tickets, you will need to go through the ticketing company via the link at the footer of www.dancerecitalticketing.com.

ARRIVAL ON SHOW DAYS & PARKING • Before each show, dancers & dressing room volunteers should arrive dressed in their first

costume 30 minutes before the show begins. One parent can walk the dancer into the dressing room area.

• Seating for audience members will open 15 minutes before each show. Face masks required for all audience members.

• Our main parking lot, the closest side of Kaden Lane, and VUTEQ parking lots are all available for guests. Please allow the spaces closest to our main entrance for elderly guests. See map for highlighted parking areas in green, but please avoid the red spaces.

HAIR & MAKEUP For females, hair should be worn as listed with costume above and should apply stage makeup. Seek YouTube tutorials for help in executing these steps. Male dancers should have their hair out of their face, and are welcome to apply light stage makeup if they wish.

High Ballet Bun — for 3-6yr combo classes • gather hair into high ponytail at crown of head • using bobby pins & hair pins, twist hair in spiral motion and pin to head • finish with hair colored net around bun, and hairspray for fly-away/wispy hairs

Low Bun — for most other classes • hair can have side part, center part, straight back, etc. • gather hair in ponytail at nape of the neck • using bobby pins & hair pins, twist hair in spiral motion and pin to head • finish with hair colored net around bun, and hairspray for fly-away/wispy hairs

Low Ponytail — for Hip Hop classes • hair can have side part, center part, straight back, etc. • gather hair in ponytail at nape of the neck

Makeup: Stage lights will wash out dancers and make their features hard to see. The more, the better when it comes to makeup! We understand that it is difficult to apply makeup on younger dancers — do your best! • Foundation - should be one shade darker than dancer’s skin. Bronzer will also help for fair skin tones. • Blush - pinkish tones are best. Brush heavily along dancer’s cheekbones. • Eyes - neutral color eyeshadows, eyeliner on top and bottom eyelids & mascara. For younger dancers, we

understand that this can be difficult and is optional. Just do your best! We want their eyes to show up from stage.

• Lips - all dancers need to have a RED lipstick! Be sure to bring this with you, as it will need to be re-applied often.

*At this time, we have not decided if dancers will be required to wear face masks on-stage while performing. More information to come!
