The Cornerstone Bible Study that meets on

Sunday mornings at 9:25 in the Holy Grounds

Room will begin a new study of the book of

PROVERBS on March 19th. Please consider joining

Us for this study authored by Dr. Warren Wiersbe,

a well-known Bible teacher. Life is about choices.

How should we lead our families? How should we

manage our finances? How should we handle

relationships? God's Word provides the answers.

The book of PROVERBS contains the greatest

collection of wisdom ever recorded, written by

some of t he wisest men who ever lived. This study

takes a fresh look at PROVERBS and offers

relevant insights for making sound choices in

every area of life. Please see Mike Montgomery to

order a participants study guide, cost ($10), for use

during the ten week study. Please Place your order

by March 7th.A Small Group study is a very valuable

part of your journey of faith. All are welcome!

One Great Hour of Sharing One Great Hour of Sharing will be taken on Easter

Sunday. A gift to One Great Hour of Sharing enables the church to share God’s love with our neighbors-

in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor

and oppressed.

Easter is coming and so is our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! It will be on the east lawn shortly after

worship Sunday, April 16th. The bunny is looking for helpers. If you took home eggs to fill, remember

to return them before Easter Sunday. Questions? Contact Lynne Crossette at

913.710.0330

Hunger never goes away! Let’s fill the barrels for part of our Lenten giving.

Acting clerk, Candis Lochmann, reported that the following officers were installed at worship on February 5, 2017: Candis Lochmann for personnel elder, Carmen Rinehart for worship elder and Ed Rucker for trustee. The treasurer’s report showed that the church ended 2016 in good shape financially. Our congre-gation, though small, is giving generously. The budget for 2017 will be bare bones with modest salary increases for our employees. We received a check from our insurer, Guide One, to cover the cost of the pipe breaking in the educa-tion wing on December 20. Our aging plumbing system is most likely going to continue breaking and should be entirely replaced. The meeting was closed with prayer at 8:15 pm.
