The Young WITNESS, Friday, August 30, 2013 21. Young Junior Lions 2013 Grand Final UNDER 14s: Job Centre Australia v M&Ms Music, 10.30am on Gus Smith 2 UNDER 17s: AutoPro Young v Grenfell, 10.30am on Gus Smith 1 THIS is a grudge match between coaches more than players. Darren Arthur was triumphant over the Paul Walker-coached team last season and Paul’s Job Centre team is looking for revenge this year over Darren’s M&Ms Music team. Job Centre have dominated the Under 14d all season with brilliant play from their midfield and back line. M&M’s will be looking to stop this dominance with its strong defense and attack, and with both teams have a scattering of the Under 14s youth league players and a combination of some very talented girls, this will be a cracker of a match. So for some great action this game is not one to be missed. JOB CENTRE: Back, left to right: Annabelle Jackson, Zac Bunt, Jacob Gorham, Michael Cram, Georgia McGregor and coach Paul Walker. Front, left to right: Tessa Long, Will Walker, Elliott Dodd, Xavier Higgins, Wayne Mace, Kye Hutchinson and Brianah Griffin. ABSENT: Austin Taylor. Front, left to right: Brandan Sanderson, Ellie Hobba, Emma Dreverman, Freya Steele and Zac Killick. AUTOPRO Young advanced to the grand final with a hard fought 3-2 win over the Under 17s M&Ms Music team, with the Grenfell U17s over- coming a small player shortage to get the grand final spot over MBS Building with a 1-nil victory. This will be a high quality game with some players having been involved with youth league and some even lining up for Reserve Grade in the senior men’s and women’s competitions. It is great to see such close and skillful contests in this age group and this match will be nothing dif- ferent – the girls give as good as they get and more than hold their own and the boys show them no quarter. Grenfell has not had enough players for an Under 17s team for quite a few years. It is exciting that in the first comeback year they have made it to the grand final.
