SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES: Friday, August 9– Thursday, August 15 24/7 Prayer Chapel – Need a quiet place to pray, reflect, and meditate? Dannen Chapel, entrance located on the outside northeast corner of Hyde Chapel, is open 24/7 for your prayer needs. Interactive Prayer Trail – Located behind the Legett Christian Center. Walk the trail and encounter 5 interactive stations based on the prayer forms of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication, and Intercession. All ages will find this a fun and meaningful way to pray! Labyrinth – A Labyrinth is a spiritual tool, a path of prayer, a walking meditation. Our Labyrinth is designed out of stones and located behind the Museum. Brochures about the Labyrinth and how to walk the Labyrinth are located at the starting point. Bible Point Trail – Along the trail you will encounter selected Psalms that sing to the glory of God revealed in nature. If you need help finding the trail, talk with someone in the Mountain Center and pick up a map. Beatitude Study Trail – Enjoy a hike while studying the beatitudes from Jesus’ famous “Sermon on the Mount.” The trailhead and study guides are located at the Dorsey Lake parking lot. The trail makes a 1-mile loop. Sunday, August 11: 10:00 AM WORSHIP IN THE ROCKIES – Guests and staff are invited to Hyde Chapel for a great hour of worship. Today we welcome guest musician Trace Bundy. Dress is always mountain casual and weather appropriate. Come early and enjoy coffee and breakfast pastries as we fellowship together before worship! Individuals, couples, families and groups are always welcome to Worship in the Rockies as we seek to make this your “church home away from home.” Sunday, August 11: 11:30 AM SUNDAY SCHOOL – Stick around after worship for a bible study on the “Gospel of John.” Study held in Dannen Library in the Legett Christian Center. Sunday, August 11: 7:00 PM TRACE BUNDY CONCERT – Trace Bundy must be seen, not just heard. His music is poetry in montion using harmonics, looping, multiple capos, and his unique banter and stage presence to deliver an unforgettable live concert experience. Listening to his intricate arrangements is one thing, but seeing the fan-dubbed "Acoustic Ninja" play live confounds even the most accomplished music lovers as to how one person can do all that with just two hands and ten fingers. Trace was named "Most Promising New Talent" of 2008 by Acoustic Guitar Magazine, as well as winning third place in the magazine's "Best Fingerstyle Guitarist" category the same year. Over the past couple of years, Trace has shared the stage with Brandi Carlile, Olivia Newton-John, Neko Case, Judy Collins, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Phil Keaggy, David Wilcox, David Knopfler (Dire Straits), Bill Nershi (String Cheese), Laurence Juber (Paul McCartney & Wings), Chris Hillman (the Byrds), Stanley Jordan, and MOFRO, among others. Concert held in Hyde Chapel. www.tracebundy.com Tuesday, August 13: 9:00-11:30 AM WORSHIP HIKE TO BIBLE POINT – Join us for a hike (approximately 2.5 miles round trip) to Bible Point where the views are fabulous! And after admiring the view, we will join our hearts and voices in worship to the one who created those views! This is a strenuous hike and participants should wear good hiking shoes/boots, and bring water. Please meet at the gas firepit outside of Hyde Chapel. Tuesday August 13: 7:00 PM BIBLE STUDY – “Unshakeable Hope” by Max Lucado. Join us in Dannen Library located in the basement of the Legget Christian Center. All staff and guests are invited. Wednesday, August 14: 12:00-12:30 PM PRAYER MEETING – Every Wednesday we host a 30-minute prayer meeting for all staff and guests. We begin with a short reflective reading of scripture or devotion, followed by the sharing of prayer requests and then prayer. We meet in the lobby of Ponder Chapel. Wednesday, August 14: 8:30-9:00 PM CAMPFIRE WORSHIP SING-A-LONG – Join us at the gas firepit outside of Hyde Chapel for fellowship and worship. Come ready to sing some old church camp favorites, hymns, and some new praise and worship songs. Weather permitting. Thursday, August 15: 1:00 PM BIBLE STUDY – “Unshakeable Hope” by Max Lucado. Join us in Dannen Library located in the basement of the Legget Christian Center. All staff and guests are invited. Thursday, August 15: 7:00 PM VESPERS COMMUNION SERVICE – All are invited to this 30-45 minute service of music and message, concluding with communion.
