WHY

?   The  goal  of  Global  Dignity  Girls  is  to  educate  young  women  to  believe  in  

them  selves  and  create  future  leaders  to  represent  Denmark  in  the  rest  of  the  

world.

ABOUT   Global  Dignity  Girls  was  first  held  

 in  2012  and  was  a  huge  success  with  the  par_cipa_on  of  600  teenage  girls  and  lots  publicity.  Since  then,  the  event  has  grown  

bigger  every  year.  In  2014  a`ended  no  less  than  2000  teenage  girls.    

 The  event  is  100  percent  non-­‐profit  and  we  

have  decided  that  it  is  free  so  everyone  has  an  equal  opportunity  to  par_cipate.  This  means  that  we  are  dependent  on  large  sponsorships  and  lots  of  volunteers,  but  without  funds,  there  are  also  limits  to  how  much  we  can  develop  the  

event  and  make  it  be`er.

2015  -­‐  2017  

The  ambi_on  for  the  next  three  years  is  to  make  Global  Dignity  Girls  a  movement  rather  than  an  event  once  a  year.  We  can  do  this  through  awareness  campaigns  and  several  smaller  events  and  happenings.    Right  now  we  are  working  with  a  concrete  idea  that  will  focus  on  the  most  disadvantaged  teenage  girls  in  Denmark.  Our  experience  with    these  girls  is  that  they  get  a  lot  out  of  par_cipa_ng  in  Global  Dignity  Girls.  And  therefore  we  would  like  to  hold  a  charity  event  where  the  profits  go  to  these  girls.    Our  event  is  very  popular  in  the  rest  of  Denmark,  and  we  want  to  make  it  easier  for  teenage  girls  from  Funen  and  Jutland  to  par_cipate.  We  can  do  this  in  several  ways.  We  can  choose  to  hold  events  in,  for  example,  Odense  and  Aarhus,  but  we  do  not  have  the  resources  right  now.  Another  op_on  is  to  launch  several  campaigns  targe_ng  teenage  girls  all  over  Denmark.
