FBI Omaha / Des Moines Citizens Academy Alumni Association
• Our Mission The Omaha and Des Moines Chapter of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICAAA) is a private, non-profit organization with a goal to engage the communities we serve to develop relationships and partnerships that can help prevent crime. We use a variety of programs and tools to interact with the community and work together to address these challenges.
• We are a Nebraska Not for Profit Corporation with recognition from the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, separate and apart from the FBI.

Our Partnership with Omaha FBI Field Office
• Board and Front Office of FBI Omaha met and developed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in January, 2015
• Strategize plans and activities for the year between the two groups

Since January 2015, we executed:• Home Town Heroes Event• Golf Outing Fundraiser• Assistance to the FBI in Training Exercises• Four Outreach Programs• Two Special Case Presentations• Enhancing Relationships Forum to help strengthen
relationships between law enforcement and the African American community.
• Substitute Santa (CSI) Initiative• Christmas in the Village in Omaha

• This fall the FBI Omaha Citizens Academy class had 27 participants
• Graduation was November 3, 2015• Board Members from the Omaha chapter attended three
separate Citizen Academy classes and explained the work and involvement the Alumni play in the community

• Nearly 100 Citizens Academy Members and guests attended at Shadow Ridge Golf Club.
• SAC Ed Reinhold – Knoxville Tennessee office• His presentation was on the
Chattanooga recruiting station killings
2015 National Conference – San Francisco
• The National Conference was held September 3-6, 2015 in San Francisco, CA
• Individuals from Citizens Academy programs throughout the nation were also at conference
• Highlights included an appearance by FBI Director James Comey
• The Omaha Chapter was one of eight given the Chapter of Excellence based on our programs and participation of membership in support of the mission to the FBI
