Annie’s Game by Narinder Dhami Age group: 8+

Jack’s little sister, Annie, is the cleverest person he knows. She was reciting Shakespeare by the time she was five, and reads the newspaper every day! However, there’s something very strange about Annie, and her over active imagination gets her into lots of trouble at school. One day Annie introduces Jack to her friend Sarah, but Sarah is no ordinary friend. Chaos follows Annie and Sarah wherever they go, and Jack is determined to find out what’s really going on.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CSA!!!

The Bounce-athon is Back! In the absence of a major fundraising event in the summer term, we’re asking children to jump into action to raise money for much needed Maths & English resource books. The ‘Bounce For Books’ bounce-thon will this year take place at home, week commencing 6th July. Children will be asked to raise sponsorship funds from family and friends for the number of bounces they can do in a minute. Bouncing can take place on trampolines, space hoppers, pogo sticks, on one leg or even on their bed! We’d love to see pictures of the most inventive bounces, so please send them to [email protected] by Tuesday 14th July, to be featured in the newsletter. We’ve set a target of £6000, please help us achieve this! All sponsorship will kindly be received via the below link, by the end of the school term on Friday 17th July. www.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/csa/bounce Happy Bouncing! The CSA Team

NATIONAL WRITING DAY - WEDNESDAY 24th JUNE

It was National Writing Day on Wednesday 24th June and Collis would love to celebrate the power of creative writing by inviting pupils to submit a piece of writing based on their experiences in lockdown. We aim to collate all the submissions together to create a Collis Book that can be used as an historical learning resource by future pupils in years to come! If your child would like to be part of history please send submissions to [email protected]. Please ensure the child's name, age and class is at the bottom of the work. The deadline date is Friday 10th July.
