    General Information

    1. All aircraft departure from aerodrome within

    160 nm radius of Brisbane, planned to

    arrive within the periods 2000 - 1200 are

    required to obtain a landing SLOT time.

    This does not apply to Medical 1, Hospital

    Aircraft, Search and Rescue, or Flood Fire

    Relief priority.

    2. SLOT times may be obtained by phone (07)

    3866 3588 or through the nearest ATS unit.

    3. Aircraft with a SLOT time can expect a Max

    10 mins airborne delay, except General

    Aviation aircraft which will be allocated

    delay in accordance with traffic priorities.

    4. Ground delays will be implemented if

    airborne delays exceed 60 mins.

    5. All aircraft arriving and departing Brisbane

    are required to operate not above 250 kt

    IAS below 10,000 ft, unless otherwise

    directed by ATC, or on pilot request due to

    aircraft operational requirements.

    6. Pilots should ensure flight plan details are

    submitted for flight in Class C airspace

    associated with Brisbane Approach,

    preferably through NAIPS or Flight Watch,

    well in advance of requesting SSR code

    allocation. Failure to do so will result in

    delays for airways clearance.

    General

    General

    1. Day Operations

    Day operation times are 0600 - 2200 (Local

    Monday to Friday) and 0600 - 2100 (Local

    Saturday and Sunday).

    2. Night Operations

    Night operation times are all other times.

    3. Reciprocal Runway Operations

    a. Reciprocal runway operations require:

    - Downwind component does not exceed

    10 kt (including gusts) and

    - Runway surface completely dry.

    b. During night operations, reciprocal

    runway operations are the preferred

    runway mode. Traffic management

    airbone holding and start clearance will

    be employed to enable reciprocal

    runway operations where safety

    requirements permit.

    4. Noise abatement will not be determining

    factor in runway selection at Brisbane under

    the following circumstances:

    a. During thunderstorms and low visibility

    procedure

    b. MEDEVAC priority aircraft

    c. Where traffic management procedures

    are required to safely manage ATC

    workload.

    apply H24 on Rwy 19.

    a. For Day Operations, when Reciprocal

    b. Landing Rwy 32:

    d. Landing Rwy 01:

    - Jet aircraft arriving from the North on the

    SMOKA V ARRIVAL will be routed via

    "RIVER TRACK" from waypoint STAKE for

    - During Night Operations all aircraft shall not

    descend below 3000 ft until aligned with the

    runway.

    1. The BACL does not provide marshalling

    services. All requests for aircraft

    marshalling should be directed to the Airline

    companies or a Fixed Base Operator

    (FBO).

    2. All taxiways: Outboard engines on 4 engine

    heavy aircraft to be operated at low power

    to prevent taxiway shoulder erosion and

    engine ingestion.

    3. Twy A is designed to be used in the same

    direction as the duty runway.

    4. Twy B is for use in the opposite direction

    unless otherwise instructed by ATC.

    5. B737 aircraft and above not to execute 180

    turns on Rwy 14 / 32 or Rwy 01 / 19.

    6. B777-300, A340-600 and A380-800

    operations:

    a. Taxiways associated with Rwy 01 / 19

    are 23 m wide.

    b. Due excessive aircraft wheelbase,

    normal taxiway safety edge margin not

    available.

    c. Pilots should apply judgemental

    oversteer when negotiating taxiway

    intersections at B / C9, B / C10 and on

    International Apron.

    d. Pilots should request marshalling

    assistance from a fixed base operator

    (FBO) if aircraft ground manoeuvering

    cameras are not available.

    7. Ground running of engines require prior

    approval. Phone (07) 3406 3072.

    8. Twy H2N and Twy H2S and Twy M east of

    the perimeter road designated as apron for

    vehicle movements only due lack of access

    road to and from maintenance hangars.

    9. Twys H1, H2, H2N, H2S, H3 and H4 not

    available for aircraft above 40,000 kg weight

    and 1000 KPA. All F28, BAE146, F100,

    B717 and B737 aircraft movements to be

    under tow only.

    10. Rapid exit Twy A5S not marked with hold

    point.

    11. Aircraft can not turn from Twy P onto Twy L

    at Twy J or Twy L on to Twy P at Twy J due

    to no fillet pavement, turn around loop

    available for aircraft up to and including

    B747 on Logistics Apron.

    12. Twys D, E, F1 and F2 not available for

    aircraft above 56,000 kg weight and 1327

    KPA.

    13. Twy C3T available to Max aircraft B737 /

    A321 (Code C).

    14. Twy L at Twy P intersection reduced wing

    tip clearance to 7.5 m on eastern side of

    Twy L for A380 (Code F) aircraft.

    15. Twy P reduced wing tip clearance to 7.5 m

    on western side for A380 (Code F) aircraft.

    16. A380 (Code F aircraft) operations using

    International Apron to use Twy C9 only

    entry International Apron. A380 compatible

    for Bays 74, 75, 76.

    17. Twy C10 and International Apron taxilane

    not available to A380 (Code F aircraft)

    operations.

    18. Rwy 14 / 32, follow aircraft are covered by

    pavement concession:

    a. A320 - up to 200 series with weight limit

    of 56,000 kg and maximum tyre pressure

    of 1100 KPA;

    b. F28 - all variants, no weight or tyre

    pressure limitation;

    c. F100 - all variants, no weight or tyre

    pressure limitation;

    d. BA146 - all variants, no weight or tyre

    pressure limitation;

    e. B737 - all variants with weight limit of

    56,000 kg and maximum tyre pressure of

    1350 KPA;

    f. EMB 170 / 190 all variants with weight

    limit of 56,000 kg and maximum tyre

    pressure of 1350 KPA.

    Note:

    Should pavement distress become evident

    the concession to operational specific type

    of aircraft may be withdrawn.

    19. When Rwy 19 is nominated. Twy A4 is not

    available for arriving aircraft unless directed

    by ATC.

    21. Runway Occoupancy

    a. Departing Aircraft:

    - Whenever possible, complete cockpit

    checks prior to line-up and keep any

    checks requiring completion on the

    runway to a minimum.

    - On receipt of line up clearance, taxi

    into position as soon as possible. Do

    not backtrack.

    - Pilot and ATC should endeavour to

    keep aircraft moving and avoid a

    standing start.

    - Commence the take off roll as soon as

    take off clearance is issued.

    b. Arriving Aircraft:

    - To ensure minimum runway occupancy

    time and support optimum spacing on

    final, whenever operational conditions

    permit, expect to vacate the runway via

    the Rapid Exit Taxiways (RETs)

    specified in the table below.

    - Plan a predicatable and efficient exit

    from the runway and if an exit other

    than the preferred is required, advise

    tower on first contact.

    - Landing Exit Distance (LED), the

    distance from the threshold to the

    furthest edge of the exit taxiway, are

    provided to assist planning.
